Drew global warming was already here, this is not the hottest Summer 2011 was. In 2021 there were no days in the hundreds it was Global Cooling (or "climate change" since it did not fit the pattern). So we are always in some Global catastrophe for the sake of headlines.

We have no water to spare and people are starting to ask more about water rights instead of mineral rights (oil) when they buy land. Kind of took me by surprise. Our town has lake water and well water. but not enough water processing plants so half the town cannot use their irrigation systems and the other half are limited to one day a week. Plants start dying after 3 days in the low humidity 100˚ temps. Many people have given up on hand watering because it's just too hot outside, I think that was the strategy of the city to get the complainers off their back they just say "you can water by hand all you like". I think the current city council will not be elected because they keep issuing building permits and the people that have been here are fed up with too many people, and new construction stealing all the water.

Plans..AM clean up limbs branches wait left use back pack blower,than trim along road edge etc.,PM plans...trim main lawn area mow the high areas...guess I better shift to higher gets this done before dinner.

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

61.9F going to low 80s, T-stormy afternoon forecast. Overnight we had a good shower for about an hour, then intermittent drizzle the next two.

Admin day running around went well, stopped at a thrift that we did not know about. Mrs bought a winter cape, I spotted an antique B&H table lamp that matches the B&H store lamp we have, if it is still there next time I may snag it, of the wick lifter is working properly.

Dogs had good outings, respectively. Harry got harassed by a gaggle of small dogs, he needed to be on the receiving end for a change! Bailey had a nice, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, unHarried meander at the woodlot.

moved the last of the wood from the fence line ricks to the primary woodshed for the winter, now to start bringing wood in from the woodlot to refill the ricks for next year.

it is a little dark and cloudy this morning, but Happiness Is A Full Woodshed.

I have to also clean out the secondary woodshed, which has inadvertently become an outdoor “stuff” storage spot, and move the wood from the other fence line ricks into it, so those rocks can be reloaded as well.

Law enforcement activity at the druggies, this time looking for a non-resident. Compete with “WE KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE!!!! and related theatrics… who needs TV?

This morning will include a trip to the hardware store for a couple sundries, and a stop at the UPS Store to pick up some packages… I think my new cooking utensils have finally arrived

Concert tonight at the Performing Arts Center to round out the day.

As long as we have oil they won't try to eliminate us first. People breath out 7% of the CO2 that fossil fuels put out, so vehicles are the low picking fruit of the doomsday crowd and catastrophe headline seekers.

Oh no— it is the correct house.

The only way it isn’t the correct house for a LE response in our subdivision is if someone from the correct house does a B&E/theft from one of the other houses in the subdivision.

not to mention that someone (another non-resident) from the correct house told the cops “yeah, he’s there”.

can’t make this $2!+ up!

Storms moved through the area last night. Train effect north and west of us. They got a lot of rain. I just watched the wind, lightning and thunder pass us by. Rain chances diminishing for us today, too.

67 going to 85 with chance of thunderstorms later in the day.
Foggy now.

Yesterdays Zoom calls went well, did some design work on my “in-law suite” looks like I’ll be about 1100 square feet. Current zoning allows 800, I’ll apply for a variance.
Moved hay from the shed, tinkered with some models, helped oldest son repair his grill. Had to drill out seized stainless screw and put in new rivnut.

Today is off to go play in a benefit show, so I’ve got to get packed up and on my way.
