I could see doing that dollying them around a yard, but not across town.

I could be on here when moving 21k lb frac tanks around the yard at work.

Sometimes we've had to get creative if we've had one in the way and the winch truck was down.

Hauling is one thing. Stopping can be where life gets interesting. It also can be fun when that much weight decides to tip over… you might be able to stop it but your best bet is to get out of the way.

I have seen similar in other countries with animals, appliances, families of 5 (or more). Other motorcycles. So I knew it wasn't photo shopped.

Been there, Egypt, Cambodia, India etc. Most of these pics are an understatement of what they do to survive.
We had a large HP server go by oxcart between offices in India. The damage was extensive. But that's how the delivery service worked. Our mail and delivery services do so much better Except:

Seeing how they deliver lunches in India led to the rethinking of how FedEx and UPS do logistics, they are so good at it. But you could never tell by the masses of lunch pails and the seemingly random transport methods. Sometimes carrying hundreds of lunch pails on rickety bicycles. With an extremely high success rate.
