What is it with Harley riders?

I think speed kills is way better moto then loud pipe save lives... people will say that and have a loud pipe but will drive 10-20 miles over the speed limit with the worse front light ever and don't use their turning signal and its not like bike don't have horns ether... my bike is always on high beam during daylight.

One place where I kinda agree with loud pipe save lives is with snowmobiles despite being very annoying for everybody else... and not like everyone else saying it I can give a examples, when going back country with multiple snowmobile and you are all playing (carving, wheeling, climbing hills and ect) in one area with low visibility like precipitation, night or a gray day and or uneven terrain I have to admit it helps knowing when they are accelerating and where about they are, you have more then on sense working for ya. But yet still extremely annoying especially at night.

Play on steep deep snow covered slopes. The resulting slide will cover the noise very well.

My wife and I both ride BMW Adventure Bikes. But, we ride with and around a ton of HD riders. Most that I know, are full fledge participants in the HD Cosplay crowd, and I have to admire HD's marketing and branding. I admit, I can't tell the bikes apart. But, it's true, more so than not, that the HD riders around here always blip the throttle at lights, or coming into a parking lot. I always thought it was for them to keep the bikes running.

My BMW is super quiet, non obtrusive, and takes me anywhere I want to go... I always say, my adventure begins where the blacktop ends.

Either way, ride safe, ride often.

It momentarily certainly can depending the the snow property and depth and which side the carving occur just like when it is snowing the sound doesn't travel as far. I am not talking without experience we have excellent and long snowmobile season and it is a sport I enjoy very much. The deep powder fun time is usually short like 3 weeks or so, prior it is not deep enough and after the snow property are poor (crystally or crusty). Due to the cold and the wind the fresh powder dose become less fluffy which help the buoyancy of the snowmobile and most of the time we have steady incremental snow fall and not sparsely heavy snow fall. plus most snow machine now days are wheely machine. So in conclusion what you stated dose occurs but it is not the norm at least around my area.

Steep & Deep is the requirement!

I'm the polar opposite of being a loud bike fan. Me and wifey were walking our dog, and all of a sudden I hear "on your left". I turned around and there's a dude on an ev motorcycle. Man that thing sweet, loved it!

Loud music from a bike's radio/audio system REALLY annoys me. When I rode, I wanted to get away from all that, and thought "what a dumb idea". Still do.

That and boom boxes in cars. We have some clown that comes by the house regularly and the bass is annoying and I think to myself, that clown has to be deaf. Probably shaking apart all the spot welds in his car too.
