Yes, I openly laugh at people who spend money to make their truck louder than it has to be or "tunes" it to roll coal. Yes, I'm insulting those people openly. Not sorry.
Can we include the guys who put low-profile tires on 22" rims, and mount them so they stick entirely out past the body of the truck? :D

I'm not so discriminating as mikester, in not counting anything with less than an old-skool 8' bed a pickup truck, by that standards very few "trucks" are actually made today. But I would go so far as to say 30 profile tires on any vehicle completely eliminates its usefulness as a "truck".

ROTFL. Honestly, those guys don't even annoy me- They're pure entertainment. Monty python's lumberjack song starts playing in my head when I see them.

The fact you guys even see people like that tells me about all I need to know.

… that the place where we live is a bit more cosmopolitan than Arkansas? Yes, living on the edge of the great Baltimore thru Boston Megalopolis, we do in fact see some urban population migrating outward. We can’t all live in cousin-wedded, shirtless overall-wearing Arkansas, after all.

Good thing you wouldn't last here anyway.
I openly laugh at city/suburban posers playing farmer on a tractor forum. Enjoy your lawn mowers and mulchers. LMAO

Let's stop guys. At this point, we're all just embarrassing ourselves publicly.

To the extent that I caused this by openly laughing at people who try to make their trucks sound/look more manly (or feminine) I apologize. I should have stopped the moment it stopped being about equipment and started to be personal insults that we (I) legitimized by adding a reference to how someone tunes their engine.

I can't get behind insulting someone for where they live.

Everybody has to live somewhere. We can't all live in Arkansas or Baltimore - thank God :ROFLMAO:
Chill.

And eat up the ever increasing (cost) gas too. I know, it's your dime, not mine.
It’s 640 miles from my house to my b-i-l’s cabin across MN (70mph) and SD (80mph). When you’re on limited vacation, you just want to get that done in 1 day. With potty stops, you just push it. 76-77 in MN and 84-85 in SD gets you there with some daylight left. The cost in gas becomes irrelevant.

We used to make that run to see my folks from outside Milw to SF. Almost exactly 500 miles. We'd often stop at "Amish Ovens" it was about half way. Just a bit south of Rochester. Did it for Christmas one time overnight as my wife got off at midnight. It was so cold the exhaust froze to the side of the minivan. Roads weren't busy...but usually aren't bad.

Before they rescinded the 55mph debacle, it was truly painful just to go from SF to the Black Hills.
