My arthritic wrist was glad to have Covid end the handshake. All that squeezing and shaking really hurt.

But now the gesture is coming back...grit teeth, hold breath & smile.

Just smell your hand first then extend it. ... People will be relieved when you make a fist.lol

I do not know if this has been mentioned….

But right before I retired, I spent a lot of time in California, and I find that their allowance of motorcycles to ride the white line between traffic lanes is obnoxious along with very dangerous not to mention one of my all-time pet peeves….

I don't find it obnoxious but I find it an extremely dangerous and stupid thing to do and I do ride.
Even if it were allowed here it's something I'd never even consider. Yes, it's uncomfortable when stuck in traffic on a hot day sitting still on asphalt radiating oven like temperatures but not as bad as being hit by a driver who doesn't expect someone to be between him and a car beside him while stopped in traffic. I cringe when even watching videos of bike riders speeding between lanes of traffic and no, I don't blame the cage drivers neither.

Not quite the same, but I was at a busy intersection leaving campus years ago and got stuck in a line of traffic. Not only was there an intersection but also we had to wait for pedestrians so for 10 minutes I would pull forward a car length, throw the clutch in and wait again.
I got almost to the intersection when I noticed a bike slowly sneaking past the traffic on the right. Just as the road cleared for me to go he got to my rear bumper. I looked him in the eye and said “I’ll run you right the **** over. He couldn’t hear me but certainly could tell what I said.

He stopped.
