Good Evening Guys,
TxDon, nice job on the trails by all those volunteers !

Just curious, every day I read about your temps well above 100, wondering what temp you try to keep the inside of the house at.
I have been trying to keep the house at 74, but it does take all the moisture out of the air !
Is your high temps also come with a lot of humidity ?
Humidity is a problem further South in Texas. We are North Of I35 the humidity is only in the morning and has been mostly around 30% during the hottest part of the day 1-5 PM.
We keep the AC on 77 during the day and 73-74 at night.

Good morning! 73˚F 75% humidity, heading to 105-107˚, it's going to be a scorcher, the outside furnace will be working overtime today. We have 2 alert warnings today, excessive heat and an air quality alert - high ozone.

Men's meeting to start day, then trip to town to drop truck at dealer, recycle engine oil, buy 30W oil, get 5 gal of E0 gas and lunch. Removed volunteer tree from front shrub bed, changed oil in backup mower and sharpened blade, then managed to spill oil on garage floor :poop::oops: Did get nap in, and worked on fish fry ticket sales.

67 outside right now, heading to mid 80's. 93% humidity. Nice large fog bank over pastures this AM. Low and thin, but cannot see the animals. Yet.

Trip to city was a success, grabbed what I needed. Took in a sandwich at a corner cafe and watched the rat race move on by at around lunch. Don't miss it at all, don't need it. Fortunate to be where I am at.

My ZTR should show up this AM. The grasses will have to be cut a few times since they are so tall and out of control. Good thing the weekend is near.

Hope all have a great day today. Be safe.

Good morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

60F going to low 80s, sunny day all day.

Low-key day yesterday, lots of porch time. Today will be similar, other than pickup needs it’s regular service (oil change etc) and one of the TPS is not sending. May open up the beehives and do a quick inspection, possibly add another medium box if they need it.

it has been impossible to find 2” poly tubing for a reasonable price (or if it is reasonable, the shipping is not). Home Depot Carries 1-1/4“ tubing, which has about 1/3 the capacity but is still bigger than the 5/8” I used as an experiment last year, and with the IBC totes as settling tanks it should not clog. All I have to do is bury it as best as possible with the terrain and rocky rooty soil…

I have some small slabwood cutoffs that are tapered half-ovals that I will paint into gnomes for Mrs for Christmas. Yesterday I gave them a base coat of white paint, then I can start adding in details over the next couple weeks.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Drew I bought the insurance with mine it was cheap and offers full replacement if you lose it in the river or anywhere actually.
believe it or not I have an aversion to buying insurance on small stuff. Always felt the odds were against you, like Las Vegas...
I think I had to buy it within two days, not sure. Weird side effect of being in insurance most of my life.
Now if I were a LOT more adventurous that I am, yes, I'd buy the insurance.

let's see in a couple months if I have lost it or not. Your advice may be spot on...
