The lawyer my parents used retired and their office was not accepting new cases so we had to find another lawyer.
Better situation than my parents lawyer who just got suspended for taking money from an estate that he thought had no heirs. Then one showed up.

Morning all, 70 going up to 80 and scattered showers.
Son and band off to a recording studio today to lay some tracks.

Brothers stent op went fine, he should be home today.

Check - what will you put up for a backsplash?

Had the trimmer out for a few hours yesterday to clean up around the edges.

More tomatoes and some more blackberries, and the second set of crape myrtles are getting ready to bloom. Figs not ready yet, lots on the tree.

Rain needs to leave, pool party tomorrow here.

Be well:

Getting crowded, this happens all over the property now, If this winter is rough then it will be a mess. Not enough hunters and really good plant growth.

frustrating morning at Ciocca Ford.
Got there five minutes early for 9am appt.
Waited ten minutes, asked where he was.
Oh, he is in the building, I'll call him.
ok.
five minutes later, nothing
we had you down for 11am. Let me call again.
I waited five more minutes and then walked out.
no thank you.
pretty stupid of them not to send someone out when they knew I was sitting there

now I'll work on building my e bike carrier.
Brother is driving me to Souderton this afternoon to pick up rv.
As expected, Schwintek slide had malfunctioned, but since I didn't keep pushing the button, they
were able to put it back together and get it synchronized. Idiot design, a set screw holding in motor, and sure
enough it had come loose and allowed the motor to pull out of geared track. Unfortunately that motor is 8 feet in the air and
not easy to get to. Leaves me with little confidence in the reliability of the slide.

72F and partly cloudy @ 09:30, heading up to around 82F for the day's high. HI 72F, DP 65F, HU 78%, AQI 88.

Chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm later this afternoon.

Another good day yesterday.

Meds doled out first thing.

Got hopper and both tube feeders refilled, also suet feeder. Noticed the nyjer feeder was getting low, might refill that today.

Another 35 or 36 holes dug for strawberry plants.

Another 22 strawberries planted.

One pepper plant which was leaning over staked up.

Water Buffalo refilled.

Woman had to go with relative to airport very early yesterday morning so She didn't get out there until the evening. Worked on weeding a little and watering/feeding various plants. She also got one of Her Siberian Iris planted I think.

Agenda for today:

Schedule some bills for payment.

Get last piece of weed block fabric laid and stapled down on the east side of the garden.

Finish up strawberry planting. There's probably another 25 - 30 plants still to go.

A number of plants have already produced runners that I missed nipping off. Will probably just go ahead and see if I can get those to root in pots to make some more plants.

Woman has another 4 Siberian Iris that need planted, plus we have 3 new Butterfly Weeds and 3 new Swamp Milkweeds in pots that need planted.

She hasn't yet started to get the mulch put down on the flower bed that I hauled around back for Her ... so She may work on that at some point.

Beyond that whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a Good Friday ... (y)

Low 60Fs and raining and windy. I forgot to bring rain pants. My jeans were soaked by the time I got back from the transfer station.

We visited the stone place yesterday. They have their own granite quarry. They had 20 ton blocks that they cut up into all kinds of shapes. They have a wire saw that somehow cuts the blocks into slabs for counter tops. I would like to get a tour to see how everything works.

We are really enjoying it here in Maine. Even though we are retired it is nice to be on vacation. Tomorrow and Monday our daughters fly in. The activity level will likely increase.

I think it takes at least a week to relax on vacation. My wife used to work in banking. They had to take two weeks together so any fraud they were involved in would show up while they were away.

I hope it isn't too hot where you are.

Chris

67 going to 77...didn't get past 75 yesterday. I've heard of blackberry winter, but that's early in the spring/summer. Not sure what to call this, other than nice, but a little wet.

(y)

check, that place is really looking nice.

Indeed.

Rswyan, will you be able to harvest those peas before frost?

Unclear.

IIRC, the time to maturity was 70 days.

Basically the rest of August and September then our average first frost date occurs around the 22nd of October. Average low temp on October 31 is 39F.

So will basically depend on the weather.

Peas were purchased last year I think so really wasn't willing to hang onto them for another year ... if nothing else, it will be an experiment as far as growing them (never have before) and they should provide some benefit to the squash they are planted amongst since they fix nitrogen in the soil.
