With a small breeze it felt a little chilly before sunrise at 60 great degrees...going to 85.
Kyle, regarding chainsaws, our mountains suffered a really bad ice and snow storm last year and trees or limbs were all over the roads and trails. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive were closed, in some places for weeks. The Natural Bridge Appalachian Trail Club sent a letter to the US Interior Department asking for a 1-day exemption to use chain saws to clear the AT in their section. Just 1 day...Nope. They maintain well over 100 miles of trails, of which 90 miles is AT and much of which passes through 3 Wilderness areas. These are unpaid volunteers trying to help.
Yesterday, air-cleaned the tractor and changed the oil and filter, as well as the air filters. Made a dump run and diesel purchase.
