On the Silverado 1500 you cannot combine the max trailering with the super cruise

hmmmm
that sure shoots down my idea of pulling a 10k trailer with their 13.3k 1500 in order to get super cruise.

I wonder if Ford has the same restriction on their F150 Ecoboost and blue cruise?
interesting that GM's build it software lets one build max towing with supercruise. Vapor ware.

Ford is refreshing their F150 in the Fall, will be interesting to see what they do.
with the size trailer I want, it's pretty clear I'd better get a 3/4 ton. That's for another day.

Bill is out there hauling 120k loads, doubles at least, maybe triples.
wonder how that handles?

no matter what, can't overdrive your equipment.

I'd like to compare stopping distances for an F150 and an F250 with no load. Bigger truck has bigger brakes, but also
a lot more weight. I wonder if it cancels out. Nobody ever talks about or markets to the issue of how well their brakes work.
They sure talk about the go though.

got most of the kitchen lower cabinets cleared out, needed to take a break.
one more cabinet to go.

Do they allow battery operated chainsaws?
No. Their concern is nails in the tree and chain breaking causing injury. We also have a large group of elderly who might not be the safest for themselves or others around them. Some have very little experience with a chainsaw. Everything is removed by hand so the large limbs are left for the mulching truck who has young bucks with a chainsaw.

For places that restrict chainsaws because of the noise and co there should be no objections for a battery chainsaw.

A very pleasant 73F and partly cloudy @ 13:45, heading up to around 77F for the day's high.

Drained and dusted bean seeds first thing yesterday.

Then gathered up drill + fresh battery + 3/4" spade bit and headed around back to start planting beans.

Just as I was about to get going the rain started. Just a small band of showers coming from the northwest, didn't last too long. LWS says we got 0.02".

Ended up putting drill and Bluetooth speaker in the house and headed up to dump the weeds that in the cart, stopped on the way and trimmed off all the thistle seed heads that were growing in the hosta bed behind the shop.

After rain ended I got 64 yellow wax and 66 Burpee's stringless green pod seeds planted. Still have some space left in the 3rd center row so I threw another packet of the stringless green pods in a dish of water last night. Also put 60 sugar snap peas in a dish of water to soak. Will try to get all those planted today.

Woman worked on weeding the east side of the garden in preparation for putting down that last piece of weed block fabric.

Winds were fairly calm after I finished planting, so I fired up the weed burner torch and start melting holes for the strawberry plants. Got about three dozen of those melted before the winds picked up again and I knocked off for the day. Probably another 60 or so to go.

Picked first tomato yesterday:

It was a "Supersonic", have never had those before.

Agenda for the rest of the day:

Plant beans and peas.

Maybe get started on mowing the front.

Hopper feeder due to be refilled.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday ... (y)

Good afternoon, 82 going to 83 no rain still

In the process of fixing hinges on an old door. The screws are not holding and doweled a couple on one hinge waiting for the glue to dry. The third one is too big and ripped out too much to dowel. Will fabricate a flat plate with 1/4 inch thread that I can stick in there instead.

Made a run to HD for screws and supplies.

Lots of air traffic up to Camp David today.

Ordering groceries and taking up trash

RS, that's a lot of veggies, going to put some away?

quiet afternoon, working on my next trip.
I want to visit my friends in Washington NC and then go to the Outer Banks for a few days.
I'm trying to stay by the water for most of this trip, and am avoiding 95 as much as I can coming North.
I hope to eat as much blue crab as I can. Chesapeake lump crab cakes. Divine.

probably mid September
