it's so hot in some places in Europe right now folks are being treated for burns if they fall
on the pavement. Apparently the black pavement heats up to 160 degrees.
too bad pavement and parking lots couldn't turn white in the summer.

also means it's super hard on folks working on blacktop. Or walking on it.

Well... I think we all feel like wet toast or somefink. (Internet joke for old timers). Wow. This weather minus the humidity brings back my desert days.
It is 72 outside this AM. Heading to 100. With humidity right now at 94 percent. It is NOT raining. There is a nice low dew/fog line over the pastures. Yesterday we hit a 106 heat index. Needless to say the weed whacking got maybe 100 feet before I just gave up. I really was not into it. And why take a chance. Maybe this AM. I did spend some time with the lopers and pole saw trying to clear some poison ivy from the driveway entrance. Nice thick, hairy, vines. Probably holding the cedars up. LOL. Sheesh....that stuff is resilient.
Need to do some shopping today. Grass is out of control. LOL. Not much else on the agenda. Time to turn the a/c on in the outbuildings and go do the animal checks.

Yacht fire on Stock Island claims woman's life, remains under investigation
State and Monroe County fire officials continued Wednesday, July 26, to investigate a yacht fire at the marina at the Perry Hotel on Stock Island that claimed the life of
another site explained that an e bike fell overboard, was fished out of the water, battery taken out and put in salon of boat.
Lithium battery had "thermal runaway" and burned the boat down, killing owner's wife. oh my
we really have to be careful with these things.
LIPO4 varieties seem to be safe, but clearly whatever they use in E bikes is worrisome.
I bet it's because of low bidder Chinese battery suppliers with poor quality control.
you think when you take the battery out of the charger everything is done and safe.

RNG, hope the house deal is working out for you. Terrible that the Fed raised rates again to the highest level in 22 years. My son and his wife are interested in buying a home, but high mortgage rates make it tough.
Yesterday was wife's yoga group at our house, so I was persona non grata. My knee asked me not to take it hiking, so ran a number of chores. Picked up that tractor oil filter I forgot on Tuesday...replaced my truck air filter while in "oh, oh, oh, O'Reilly's" parking lot (Amazon sent me the wrong filter, so just wanted to be sure)...Autozone didn't have it. Picked up some buckwheat and crimson clover seed at the Feed and Seed. Then walked the aisles at HD...browsing, smelling the sweet aroma of lumber, and picking up a few things on the list. Then a salad at Chick-fil-A for lunch and got home just as the ladies were leaving. Looked like gas had gone up 50 cents since last time I was in town.

I used to change the filters like you did. But looking more closely at it realized the filters were actually mounted to a piece of sheet metal mounted flat on the inside of the frame. Removing the battery allows access to the two bolts holding it and can then be lifted out with the two filters mounted on it

Tree guy is not coming today. Lots of downed power lines because of downed trees. Maybe Monday. Still over 80,000 homes without power in Metro Detroit this morning.
