You need to go watch the Torque Test Channel's test on You Tube and then comment.
Where at 1:52 they say the DeWalt 891, a lower model than the 900, beats the Flex.

/edit -
Actually looking at their graphs the DeWalt beats most all.

You need to go watch the Torque Test Channel's test on You Tube and then comment. It kicks the Milwaukee's butt hands down, not just in reverse torque but in price as well Not that I'd own one because I prefer air anyway. Sintered bronze (aka) powdered metal is no match in durability for machine from steel gears anyway. Won't find any sintered gears in the Thor I own either, nor the 1" drive IR
These gears are strong, durable, more resistant to heat and self lubricating.
They are formed and molded with a hardening process and more inline with “aka sintering” as opposed to “aka powdered metal”.
The process starts off w powdered metal as opposed to molten metal.
Machined steel is indeed stronger and advantageous in 3/4 and 1” drives but we’re talking about 1/2” drives suitable for the homeowner and tradesman and would take sintered bronze gearing over nylon gears any day of the week.

Check out the new Walmart 20 volt 'nut buster. Beats the DeWalt hands down and is about a C note less.
I think you need to watch the video again.
We we’re talking about the Dewalt and not the Milwaukee.
Also, you made the stement that the Walmart brand was about $100 less. If the Flex is the Walmart brand, it does not appear to be that much less If at all
Lastly, the Flex is half the capacity of the Dewalt and if about the same price, l do not see whatsoever that it is besting the Dewalt in any fashion or in any parameter as you had stated.
The Dewalt here is the preferred piece in my mind by a long shot.

Battery tools is an ever changing game, but I am so deep into the Milwaukee tools that I won't be changing as they have served me well, the only tool that I had to send back was a battery powered circular saw, they paid the freight both ways and had it back to me repaired in 10 days, as far as I am concerned Milwaukee set the bar with their original Fuel tools for the rest to try to get to, which it looks like they have.

It’s a tech constantly evolving .
You can put all the power you want into a battery but if the innards of a tool have been cheapened down to arrive at a price point, that tool becomes more expensive to possess in the long run.
Power capacities or pricing for that matter, are not the only measure of tool efficacy in my mind.

Thats right. Once you get into a brand pretty deep, best to stay there. I have little complaints about DeWalt, so I will stay with them. Love their worm drive circular saw, the impacts and the nail guns. All have served me well.
Brand warfare is so silly. All brands have small idiosyncrasies. Enjoy what you have and stop putting down what you don't have to justify your purchase.

My issue with DeWalt is the replacement battery cost and I have just one hammer drill.

Absolutely, I am confident that I could probably be happy with most any of these brands today, but I am guessing that it has been over 10 years since I started buying Milwaukee 18 volt Fuel tools and still have all of my original tools and they still work for me, the biggest thing is I have bought and accumulated so many battery's and chargers that it would be a small fortune to replace them alone.

From the answers you are giving in here, you prefer air alright, it's obviously HOT air! lol
