This is a big peeve of mine, I would like to see touch screens banned. Driving should be intuitive... touch screens are doing away with that. They give off so much light that they reflect off the window, preventing you from seeing while backing up.

Agree, I hate them in cars. Touch screens require too much look time to find the precise area to touch. I want a knob or button that I can use without looking.

Both my vehicles have touch screens and knobs.

Both vehicles have presets for the radio. You can switch between them by touching a button on the underside of the steering wheel.

Right hand buttons control volume. Left hand buttons move forward and backwards on the presets.

And they are right there where you fingers rest while gripping the steering wheel. So you can feel them.

I listen to podcasts or audio books most of the time. Buttons on the left will bump it to the next podcast on my list.

The only time I'm messing with the touch screen is if I'm typing an address into maps. And the only reason I do that, is some of the weird spellings for some local roads, so voice promp won't bring it up

Controlled Obsolescence. I have a Dell printer scanner which did everything I bought it for. It still works but the software isn't supported so it will only scan one page at a time. That's a problem when you have to scan 10 pages and save each as a separate file.
It's only B/W which is what I wanted as the ink is cheaper and it works on waterproof paper. So three years ago I bought an HP Inkjet. This month I had to get a new laptop... I can't get the drivers for it. In order to print something I email it to myself, open the file and print it from my phone. Again, a PITA when you have 10 different things to print, but I am NOT buying a new printer as long as this one works.

2 !/2 more years and I plan to be obsolete... then I won't care that I can't print color maps.

If you want to really piss somebody off, especially a car salesman... take the time to read it.

I'm not saying that I pore over every word yet I did take the time to read over anything before I sign it. A lot of places have eliminated that now... they tell you what it says and have you sign electronically. If I encounter that again they won't be happy as you are literally signing a document you haven't seen.
