Good morning!!!!

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 14C which dipped down to 11C this morning. Presently 12.9C, calm and raining. There was 12mm in the gauge at 0900.

The weatherguessers were caught short yesterday evening, issuing a high wind/rain warning for today, hence the rain... the wind might show up this arvo.

Which makes it a good thing that I managed to get that dead branch (and a few more) down yesterday. I used my bladed pole saw, at maximum extension, to patiently take it down. I've got a battery powered chain pole saw but the branch was too high plus it would've been complicated to maneuverer it into position. Sometimes you've just got to go 'old-school', eh?

Cut everything up with the sawzall and disposed of the branches. Then, of course, because I had the sawzall in my hand, I went on the hunt for anything that it could trim. :)

What with the weather/rain, it'll probably be a relaxing 'inside' day. Penelope the pussybeast agrees.

That's about it, take care all.

It was such a nice spring day, I took advantage for some more seat time. Picked up a bunch of branches and moved to the burn pile at the back corner of the property.

The neighbor (good one, not the idiot) was out hitting a few golf balls in his back corner. We had a nice conversation, including about the idiot neighbor. He's all in on fixing the road with me.

Then I noticed that he had a few good drive shots, with 6 golf balls well into our property. So, started tossing them back.... he said don't worry, he'll hop the fence and come get them. He also offered to grab my slash and add it to his burn pile.

Ran the drip on a couple of zones throughout the day. Still have 6 more to do.... probably tomorrow even though it will be windy. OK just to go out and turn a couple valves...

The local forecast now upped the gust range... could be as high as 65-70 mph. We may not get that bad, being so close to the mountains, or, those gusts could be up at the peaks.... guess we'll find out soon enough!

Hope everyone has a peaceful evening.

The initial vet visit included a dewormer, but not one that took care of hookworms. He has one more dose to get tomorrow. When we got our Bailey, she had THREE types of GI worms, poor puppy. . .
When we had gotten our Kassie (RIP), our daughter nicknamed her "wormie" ..... she had all types of worms... ring worm, hookworm, tapeworm, and one other that I can't remember. She did OK with the treatment. Matter of fact she was our oldest living pup --- 15 1/2 years and was spry like a puppy up until a week before she left us.
Harry is going to be a great companion!

He certainly is a character! Mrs is trying to figure out how to make him his own Facebook page, which should simplify puppy cuteness postings 😁👍

Today was just a sad day. We buried Whipper next to Gray2 on Mom's farm. She had a good day yesterday laying in the yard watching me add the raised beds. She even managed two shallow barks at a golfer that got too close. I knew she did not have much time left when I had to carry her to her bed. Her first symptoms came just a week ago when she had to stop walking up a hill to rest.

45F partly cloudy...showers starting around 9pm rain 10pm snow midnight all done around 1:30pm. 🙄

Short work day follow one stop for critter food, try to do raking outside here and there no such luck yet. :( made BIG raspberry jello with fruit cocktail mix with end for this evening, pretty sure I'll be sharing the whip cream with kittens. :)

Plans for the evening no yet clue.

Enjoy your evening all.
I love raspberry anything. Take a bite for me before the kittens get it all.

Work went good today. Over the last 2 semesters, I've struck up some good conversations with a highly motivated Senior, who's contracted with the Navy, in the Corp of Cadets, moved here from Las Vegas (no family nearby), will go to flight school once in the Navy this fall , and hopes to fly P8 Poseidon planes. Oh, and by the way, she's a young lady. God bless our service men and women.

Got my eyes tested today. Wasn't too thrilled with the place. Eye doctor wasn't there in person, she was on a computer screen in my field of vision while she tested my eyes and the device I was looking through changed lenses remotely with a servo motor. No dilation.

Progressive glasses: I have been wearing them for years. The gal said they sold 3 levels of progressive lenses. She said the field of vision "widens" for the pricier lenses. That must be why I've never liked the pair I have now. I bought the cheapest version last time.

Church youth went great tonight! Had sloppy Joes.

Prayers for our team, our country, our politicians, first responders, Ukraine and for Putin to get his mind right.

Oh Don, I'm so sorry. Before you had Whipper, I often wondered why you didn't have a dog. It took a special dog like Whipper to have you. Condolences.

Don, just so so sorry reading about Whipper. Didn’t even meet her and yet I’m tearing up as I type this, my own 2 boys resting within sight. RIP, Whipper.

Mildly productive day. Did get the butt ticklers cut down in the dogs area. Should make them happy. A blustery day with some moisture on the wind but not really rain, but inconvenient when on the ladder.
