19 going to 53. Woodstove working while we were sleeping.

Cut a nice load of firewood to feed it yesterday...but now some splitting needed.

Ken, you don't want my solution for cleaning a culvert...a skunk borrowed into mine, but did a nice job of cleaning out some debris.

Don and wife, get well soon!

Kyle, I remember playing paintball with my kids, and laser tag...lots of fun.

19 outside this AM, heading to 50. This early AM will take a toll on the flowers, unfortunately.

No skimming done, was too cold, played pick up sticks and move rotting wood to the burn pile with the wife. She drove, I loaded. Tractor started right up after months of no use and the cab was nice and cozy for being outside all the time.

Nephew stopped by and it was nice visit, brought some food too. LOL.

Before you knew it, the day was over and here I am. Hope all have a great start to the work week. Be safe. Get or stay healthy.

Morning 22 going up to 52 and no sun yet.
Strange weather.

Went into town yesterday to the new Hotel/bar they built up around the old Logan Inn. has a triple bar and was somewhat empty. It is still strange to us to see the town so crowded with tourists in bad weather as it was quite windy/cold.

Still need to look through my stuff to see what would make the best poker for the culvert pipe. I am sure I have something lying around. I was pulling out some roots as it seems some plants are trying to hold things together 6' into a cement pipe. Nature is tenacious.

I think it's time for another pallet to store my plow out back instead of in front.

Back to the day job,

Be well

26F and clear @ 08:00, calling for mostly sunny skies with winds out of the southwest @ 10 to 20 and a high of around 50F.

Amazon delivered the long jigsaw blades yesterday.

Will head up to Menards at some point this morning, need to pick up a small MDF panel for a mounting board for the pocket hole jig, another sheet of 3/4 ply for the carcass panels on the router table and maybe special order the guardrail for the scaffolding before we have any accidents.

May see a lady about a pony while I'm out.

Since it's going to be reasonably warm (and dry) today, I might try to get the plywood cut down outside into more manageable sizes and get it brought inside the garage.

Might rip the 1/4 inch TigerPly sheets for the drawer bottoms as well.

We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great Monday ... (y)

Good Morning
Was 23 when I woke up, climbing fast.

Yesterday I made good headway in the shop, helped oldest son put up a windsock, youngest came to borrow the KubVan along with his bride. It was interesting that the cleaned the inside and filled it with diesel fuel before returning it.

Today is back in the shop, I’m making a fabric covered grill that will attach with rare earth magnets, which is something different for me.
Also have a crossover to build and finish 2 cabinets.
Tonight is school with Zoe followed by Oddfellows meeting.

28F sunny supposed to get up to 50F. Looks like it will warm up as the week goes on. My wife is chomping at the bit to get out in the garden.

Maybe you would like to see some old rockers out of the arena.

Take care.

Chris

Good morning! 34° now, temp has doubled since I stumbled downstairs. Supposed to get near 50° today. Rest of the week is supposed to be decent temperature wise.

Been making steady progress on assorted projects. And plenty of those that need progress.

This morning Louie decided the washing machine needed an inspection:

I was never happy with the shift linkage on the race bike. It had no real adjustment and could go over center fairly easy. Plus it was clunky shifting. Did a lot of studying of other bikes and my issue with the shifter must be common. I saw a lot of different solutions that ranged from crude to works of art. And all of them had to work around the same issue, the geometry of various moving pieces isn’t all that good.

So using pieces I had available to me, started playing with it until I came up with what I thought was an acceptable solution. Had to turn a piece on the lathe to connect the ball joints, but pretty happy with the outcome. Nice thing is, I can use a stock shift lever. Now for some paint to finish it

@Kyle_in_Tex, yes, Dallas Daniels is pretty impressive rider for his age. And Kody Kopp continues to better. Going to be interesting when they are both in the twins class

Everyone stay safe out there.

Good morning! Low of 31°, heading towards 44°. Some snow overnight, about 2". The guessers are showing rain showers by around 10:00 and continuing through the afternoon. Repeat for tonight and tomorrow.

While down the rabbit hole yesterday, watched a pretty long and boring video.....a guy in Houston on I-10 driving ridiculously fast, well over 100 mph. So fast and for so long, he was able to outrun the helicopter following/filming. The police finally caught up to him after fleeing on foot in a pasture....

He wasn't wanted..... he had been previously bragging about how fast his Dodge Hellcat was..... so he proved it! No info on charges or fines.... bet they didn't go too easy on him.....

Seems like I haven't been outside for a looong time.... hoping this weather changes soon.....but we definitely need the moisture, so not complaining.

I really hope the weather changes so we don't have to buy more pellets for the stove..... only 3 bags left! On the fence if I should get some more.... Thought about buying next years supply if it goes on "end of season sale".....

Compiling a Costco list.... and a Walmart list.... and a local grocery list.... I wish that I could make 'tool lists' like those.... might actually be cheaper! ....but hard to eat 10mm sockets !

Hoping everyone has a great start to the week!
