Unemployment rates are twisted. You need to evaluate the total number of employed people. Unemployment only measures those who are actually looking for work. The emperor has no clothes.

Labor Force Participation rate is very low, even after the Covid period ended.

I don't know if Compact Tractor sales will be strong when the weather finally turns nice. It will be one indicator of consumer confidence.

I was working in T shirt last week with temps in the 70's, a record, but temps dipped a few degrees back into the 50's in Middle TN today. And I saw my first bluebird return today.

Exactly! The number of people staying at home and not looking for a job is much higher now than it was pre-COVID.

During the pandemic, people made more money staying home than they did working. Now, they continue to look for continued government handouts.

This is why companies like my previous employer keep bad employees on the payroll. I remember having to write a justification for not offering a job to anyone I did not hire. Really, I rejected a prostitute looking for new business, and another fired from his previous job for theft and I had to justify not giving them a job offer!

What you have done is to twist my words around and put your own interpretation on them, expand them to include your own biases, and then challenge me to reply to your creative interpretation of what I said.

Inversion is a common debate technique, but in this case I'll just ask that you read things more carefully.

I couldn't get all the extra $$ staying home. Didn't qualify. Didn't take in eought unemployment to make rental payments. My freinds who were also unemployed counld't get it either.

As someone on the receiving end of one of those propositions under different circumstances, I left and never came back.

Not really what you want in a business that caters to mainstream America IMHO. Plus, in my case, she made no effort to sell what I came to buy, only to get into my wallet through her extracurricular side hustle.

Its a free country but, to me prostitution is even between consenting adults of free will.

I apparently misread your intent. Apologies for that mistake.

In my case, I don't see the media and a lot of politicians working for the good of the whole, only pandering to a segment of society.

Divisiveness in politics is at a very high level at the moment with almost no meaningful compromise on either side.

Politicians have to power to fix things but, I just don't see any indication of that at the moment.

I have a much dimmer view of media being an unbiased source of information. Social Media is controlled by very biased groups, George Soros and his ilk, are getting politicians in positions of power to carry out their own personal twisted versions of equity and justice.

Traditional media is slightly better but, Tucker Carlson and the former CNN anchors don't inspire confidence for me either.

One of my sisters doubled her take-home pay during COVID and of course, had zero commuting expenses or work-related clothing obligations. Getting her to look for another job almost took divine intervention.

I and my other sister were working our asses off to make ends meet at the end of the month. Watching our other sister do nothing and have more money for it was not really the incentive anyone should have and one I did not want to witness.
