Are Kiotis as solid as they used to be?

It comes from Germany. Anything medical from Germany I view with a jaundiced eye.

The Homeopathy cult came from Germany, IIRC. (and I do)

A friend of mine..... My very best friend, in fact, bought into that crap. He tried to treat everything with some kind of magic potion or herbs, teas and extracts.

I have to admit, he was one of the healthiest people I'd ever know. Especially for his age (1 year younger than me and I'm older than dirt). Strong as an Ox. Big man. 6'3" 230lbs of solid muscle.

He didn't drink, he didn't smoke..... He didn't even cuss!. Lived a very clean life. Even went to Church every week.

But anyway, before he retired he worked for a big Ag company and he had to go down into Northern Indiana for several Months out of the year. He picked it up from the Amish and Mennonites down there, I think.

Anyway, he had Sleep Apnea. He was a big man with a thick, muscular neck. If you're like that, take notice.

I was in his house one time and I saw a big bottle of Antibiotics on his counter that hadn't been opened. And they'd been issued by the VA two or three Months prior. I jumped his ass because he wouldn't take them. He was doing some kind of BS Holistic treatment. I shamed him into taking his Antibiotics and it cleared up his prostatitis. Like it's supposed to do.

His Sleep Apnea? He had a CPAP machine. Wouldn't use it unless his daughter heard him snoring and kicked his ass and made him.

So he goes on the road for a long trip to Texas, pulled over for a nap and died in his sleep.

I miss him every day. He was the kindest man I've ever known.

So sorry for your loss brother! ☹️☮️✌🏻

Visited the dealer today looking to purchase my second Kioti tractor. Previously had a 2011 DK35se that was rock solid and pretty much trouble free. Great machine and wouldn't really consider anything but Kioti.
As I was stepping onto a new '22 DK4210se I noticed that the entire rear fender and deck moved/wobbled as I climbed aboard. Thought maybe the step wasn't attached properly so I checked other DKs and CKs on the lot. Same. Almost flimsy like it'll break over time. Can anyone on their 2nd Kioti comment on if these machines are still heavy duty?
BTW, I'm 6'2" 230ish so no "lose some weight" comments please!!!!
2021 ck2610 250hrs on it no problems at all

I sold my ‘97 Massey Ferguson 1240 last year and bought a new ‘22 DK5310SE. I’m literally same size as original poster. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed a substantial flex in the body when getting on and off the tractor. At least not any more than my old machine. Not a Kioti, but it was a great machine and solidly built.

Whatever flex my machine does have feels well within the realm of being properly designed.

I went from a '94 MF 1250 to Kioti DK4510SE. This thing feels like a tank compared to the Massey and the Massey was a great little tractor. I am still amazed at all I did with it for 27 years.

IndyJay,
Was it you that posted a side by side of your 1250 next to your DK? Someone did right before I bought mine. Was a huge help in gauging the size difference.

Yes I’d say from a material movement standpoint and lifting the DK is a tank! Yes so refined compared to Massey.

I don't think much of anything is built as heavy duty as it use to be. The idea today - lighter, thinner, faster, shinier - CHEAPER.

I agree everything built today is a toy compared to equipment back in the day
I tend to agree. I got over it and went with the DK4210se. I hope its as good as my last one! Ya'll take care and stay healthy.

You know we're going to need pictures, lol, all the better if you can get them side by side!

I hope you'll be as happy with the new DK as you've been with the old, if not happier.

When I took mine home, I was kinda like; "Okay, plastic hood. I can live with it, I guess. Cheap bastiches"

A few weeks later I was loading a dumpster with some cabinets I'd torn out of the barn. I was putting a fairly heavy/large countertop into the dumpster when, all by itself, it jumped off the bucket and did a swan-dive onto the hood of my new Kioti..... Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. And hit my hood with the EDGE of the darn thing.

Anyways, I thought to myself, "Self, at least God could have waited a few Months before he allowed that stupid countertop to damage my brandy-spanking new tractor."

Got off the tractor, opened the hood and lightly tapped it with a rubber mallet and -- Nothing. A couple of small scuff-marks is all you can see anymore. No dent, no nothing. And you gotta look close to see the scuff marks.

Try that with an older, metal hood.
