Old dryer successfully removed and out of the way. Slight learning process, but easier to maneuver than the washer in that tight area. Actually need to remove old washer before I can hook up dryer. Challenge being access to the dryer vent.
Not likely to get anything installed today. Be happy to get both uninstalled and area cleaned up then attack fresh tomorrow. Wife is OK with that as she made sure she didn’t need for a few days.
She also reminded me that we installed the washer & dryer before the sink or cabinets, hence more working room. Luckily I do have inches to play with

Drew, Nothing like knowing you have really good new tires on your vehicle. Most times stopping distance doesn't matter but sometimes it does.

Chris
Another often neglected safety 'new/replace' addition is windscreen wiper blades.

You're usually reminded to replace them 'after the fact'. ;)

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 10C and it's currently 20.8C, overcast with a slight breeze.

A successful 'into town' day for groceries and scripts. Later on I decided to head to Church and spray (Roundup) the footpaths and around the Rectory, then attend the Ash Wednesday service.

We'll see what's up for this arvo but I'll probably get the mowing done prior to the predicted hot (for Tassie but not, so much, St Helens) temperatures coming for Fri/Sat.

That's about it, take care all.

Plowing all done until tomorrow. Depending on how much we get I will either go out about noonish or wait until about 3, then go out. I also watch the weather radar.
I think I will get a new bucket next summer, one with a straight edge for plowing snow.
I have a hydraulic oil heater ordered from amazon, it is a little bit short, but I think I can adapt it to work. It is supposed to heat 12 quarts of oil to 60°F in 25 minutes.

61°F and stormy this morning, got up to 71° today with some severe thunderstorms and tornado watches most of the day on it's way down to the low 50s overnight. 55° right now.

We've had a tough family week-or-so here. In addition to the bad news about Evey last week, I found out around noon on Monday that one of my uncles died Sunday night. He was 86. So, my one cousin lost her mother about a year ago, her husband right before the holidays, and now her father. Funeral is tomorrow.

Then, while we were eating dinner Monday evening, Wife got a call that her nephew - the one who stayed with us awhile back trying to get his life together - died Monday in an accident at work involving a forktruck. He was 29. Funeral is this coming Monday.

Not the most joyous of times in the Smith house.

Hope everyone here is well.

Good evening, gents.

The winds arrived on schedule, pushing a snow squall line ahead. Only damage was a metal outdoor rocking chair got taken off the porch and thrown about 10', down the steps, and up against a fence. Surprised that it was a chair in the middle of the covered deck.... the one that was near the edge stayed in place...?? No tree damage that I could see.

The news reported a 75 mph gust at the Albq. airport, 85 mph at the Santa Fe airport, and 100mph at Salinas Mt. Peak. I think we dodged a bullet. We are basically between those two airports, so no wonder the chair went flying.

Got a call from the scheduler at the ortho clinic..... June 8th! Really?... 4 months out? Going to call my ortho surgeon tomorrow and bi@#h up a storm! There has to be a sooner option......

Winds are still gusting at around 35-45 mph, should die down around midnight. New forecast shows hitting 60° Saturday......going down to 15° tonight. No more snow or rain in the next 7 days.

LS, started scheduling colonoscopy last November, it’s scheduled for April. But only 2 months out after getting the doctor clearance.

Good morning! Low of 28°, headed up to 52° today. Rain showers this evening, then periods of rain around midnight, changing to snow by morning. Then a greater chance of snow tomorrow, high only going to 32°.

Unfortunately, the wind will be returning with a vengeance----- could have gusts as high as 65mph here, up to 80mph on the mountain peaks.

Our road is a mess! Mud, mud, everywhere...... I know why it's in the state that it's in.... by the cause of two idiot neighbors, doing things that they "think" will help with drainage. But now they are proven wrong.....
There is no reasoning with Bubba 1 and Bubba 2......

A question for you Texas guys:
How is the Centerville area? Looking at some land about 15 minutes outside of the town, off I-45. Supposed to be heavily wooded and multiple creeks. I still need to get more specific info about the subdivision, but they "can't" send me a subdivision plan..... I think it's more like "won't"..... it seems they really, really want a potential buyer to actually visit the site. Maybe for some high pressure sales pitch?

The video of the Clydesdales was scary at first. Glad the last horse was ok. I guess that was the literal meaning of "pile up".....

Going to make a run to Costco for fuel and a few items. I hope the list stays small....

I hope everyone's day goes as expected.
I don’t know anything about this specific development.

Ive seen a lot of developments marketed just like it though. Often they turn out ok. Occasionally, they don’t.

Look on realtor .com for listings in that county, I think it’s Leon County. You’ll get an idea about some other property in the area. You can also call the Texas Real Estate Commission located in Austin and ask about complaints or history on the particular development and the developer.

Centervile, is a pretty small town right off Interstate 45 ~halfway between Houston and Dallas. It’s a growing area because so many from those two big cities want a few acres in the country. Overall, it’s a nice area. There are some big deer in that area and some good meat markets.
