Good morning, the low is -1 and the high to 16°F. Wind E 7 mph. Sunny today and snow tonight.

I will go out and plow at least the windrows today. By the time this one is over we could get as much as 3.5-4". Whatever happened to the real snowstorms we used to get? A foot at a time. Something you could really sink your teeth into.

That is my day mapped out.

Have a safe day all

Most motorhomes are limited in what they can safely be loaded up with beyond the wet weight of the RV. It pays to check on how much extra weight is added. Also rehearse that the tools are there and work for changing the spare tire. Often a breaker bar may be needed for the lug nuts. Taking down the spare can be challenge under the RV. If it has a lift mechanism check it out that it actually works and is not frozen up. Carry safety triangles to set up is also a good idea as well as flares

Frits, thank you, good ideas, I carry an orange cone and was thinking of getting a second one.
As far as flat tires, not my job. I have not one but two towing contracts, rv carrier and Good Sams.
With my back and neck, no tires for me. Which is not to say I won't take the four way tire lug wrench out of my car and put
it in the rv...plus a tow rope. And two medical kits.

If I don't carry much water around, which I won't, staying at campgrounds, I'll be running at least a thousand pounds under GVW.

Chris, front tires will be new, rears still have at least 9-10 32nds left. I'll put some miles on the rig and if I'm sure I like it for the long term, will
replace the rears. Also will consider a TPMS system, this rv doesn't have a lot of extras.
My biggest worry is hydroplaning on highways getting stuck in a storm. I drive from 7am to 2pm only.

Morning all, 30 going up to 43 and see some sun.
Tonight is Talent show at high school.

Some of sons band practices have been canceled due to band members being grounded.
PopGadget- bet you never miss band practice due to one of the members being grounded :)

Still waiting to hear from rental on what is happening, seems building may fix. Stay tuned.

Any advice on what I should plant in back cleared area so I don't get so many weeds/brambles?
Not sure I want grass there.

Drew RV on the beach-looks great. I know in the keys there a few RV sites on the beach, wonder how far in advance to book? Let me know if you need any help on RV.

This used to be so thick with Ash trees and in the winter it was a solid mass of vines and bushes.
Now thinned out, and few of the dead ash left, but just enough that I can't go into some sections when it's windy.

Be well,

Good Morning.
28° with frost on the ground when I got up this morning. The upcoming week doesn’t look promising for anything outside.

Yesterday went by in a flash. I remember taking Zoe to the vet for more shots and get her nails trimmed. She weighed in at 46 pounds. Also replaced the burners in a pizza oven at the restaurant, had a bit of a wrestling match with the 1/4” line for the pilot assembly. Ended up cutting the tube and taking it back to the shop to get it disassembled without hurting it as I didn’t have a replacement. Did a little paperwork and the day was over before I knew it.

Today will start with figuring out why my rear outdoor access point is offline. I can reach it through the network, but it doesn’t appear to have internet access, as the devices that connect to it, the standby generator and propane tank level monitor are both offline.
Just watching Zoe sleep as I finish my Special K.

Sounds like a good plan. If you change tires you may consider upgrading to a higher load rating to give more margin
