Good morning.
It’s grey and wet outside this morning. Drizzle started yesterday afternoon. Davis says .2” so far, the Tempest shows a bit less.
Yesterday I did a little graphic work, recreating the Schweizer aircraft logo for a friend restoring a glider. I stopped by his shop after pulling the wheel off the little plane to fix the flat. Figured I’d repack the wheel bearings while it was off.
It’s always fun to see what projects he has going on, he does a lot of antique restoration, lots of wood, dope and fabric, as well as aluminum. Amazing skills and talent in that shop.
Apple is filming a series directed by Ridley Scott just down the road from me, closing the road. I got a notice that they plan to blow up a building. I was told that they wanted to burn the old farmhouse, but it was going to be a problem due to lead and asbestos, so they built “sacrificial” additions to destroy. Didn’t realize that burn meant explode!
A friend lives next to the set, and got paid handsomely for allowing them to put down temporary plastic planking for a road and parking to access the filming location.
The green arrow is pointing at the addition, I took this picture months ago from the little airplane.
And of course the road that is now closed is on Drew’s route to pick up his motorhome. I gave him a heads up this morning.
Sounds like a trip to Costco is planned for today, I got an access point setup to install in the barn, and need to figure out what to put in the crockpot for the boys this evening’s musical gathering.
