Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all. High today near 80, then another front with 20-25 drop. Have to work on taxes if I can squeeze that in. 😫 Will try to get to the American Legion coffee meeting this morning.

Needing an "industrial" quality flood light (2 bulb). Want one with a motion sensor to mount on the outside of my metal shop. Want quality and weather "proof". The models I have so far seen are "weather resistant" and many have "plastic housings", some the bulbs are not replaceable! My preference would be a "normal floodlight bulb that I can find when replacement is needed" not a square LED type that I have to order somewhere. This unit will be in the Texas sun all day. NOTHING plastic lasts here for long. Any suggestions where to buy?

All Take Care, wishing you a great day.
You can always make your own out of standard metal housings and add something like this:

Robot or human?

Buy several, since they are all plastic and would be the “consumable” portion of the project, but they are cheap enough and you can customize the actual lighting the way you want with whatever bulbs you want.

otherwise you are constrained to something someone else designed.

EDIT: I have no idea why the url link converted to the phrase “Robot or Human” —- weird. . .

good morning all
going all the way up to 64 today. Might keep waxing the car.
Warm front here now, going to be chased out by rain tomorrow and Friday morning with temps dropping down to low 20s
Then back up again, and snow in forecast for end of next week. Yes Joel, quite the roller coaster ride.

no plans for today, going to have a glass of wine with brother this afternoon, he is recovering from shoulder operation that like most shoulder
operations always seems to heal slower than we want.

David marvelous picture and view. Hope you "see" it with improved eyes now.

Ron, I think crows are the smartest birds out there, they use tools (sticks) to help find food, think they also drop nuts on pavement to break them before
swooping down for a bite. I think some eagles do that also, drop heavy game down from heights to kill them, then lunchtime.

48 outside this AM, heading to --------------70.

Not "normal", but hey....I am just a spec in the universe. So I shall take it. Rains look to have missed us this AM, needs to stay dry for a few weeks and that ain't going to happen. Ground is squishy and koi-less pond is on overflow still.

Managed to work on the wonky door frame for the Milk House's new walkway. Looks like a bead of caulk or wood filler can finish that job.
The blocks had gone off level starting four feet down the frame to where at the bottom I lost 3/4 of an inch off level. I ended up cutting a 2x4 to cover up the issue and concrete screws set it in place.

Unfortunate the vinyl I had already in place was cut too short for the door frame, I will need another piece or replace the whole thing. Don't know if I want to see a cut line right next to a door. I like running vinyl long with out overlaps as much as possible. The wife calls that perfectionist work.

More of the same today when the sun comes up.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe, get or stay healthy to those in need.

Hey, happy hump day!

56F with the wind howling @ 05:45, still on track to hit the 68F high they were calling for.

Enjoying the first cuppa.

Was in bed and asleep by 20:30, slept until 02:59. No nap taken during the day.

Still no dripping from the shower valve, think it's safe to a call it done at this point ... (y)

The better part of yesterday was spent trying to break loose the bolt on the right front wheel of the Passat. My 1/2 inch Craftsmans impact wouldn't touch them. Ran over to a friends and borrowed his HF "Earthquake" impact same deal. Even tried a breaker bar with a 2' long piece of pipe ... and was afraid I was going to break that. Will let them soak longer before trying again.

Once I threw in the towel on that, The Woman gave me a hand getting the larger tabletop up onto the low sawhorses.

She ended up working on cleaning up a set of winter tires which got bagged and moved over to the barn along with a broken bag of concrete (which also got bagged) which was in the garage.

Tile saw disassembled and on it's way to the basement.

Amazon delivered the automatic center punches and scribe. Came with a nice little storage case ... (y)

The Black and Decker belt made fairly short work of removing the old finish and most of the gouges on the larger tabletop:

IMG_2231 copy.jpg

Had that finished just before dinner time. Was fairly impressed with how well the sander worked and it's dust collection. Seems to be a decent quality tool.

The Woman had a look at it ... and then said it was too nice for a workbench ...

She prepared a pork tenderloin and baked potatoes for dinner which were delicious.

Agenda for today:

Get tile saw moved downstairs.

More clean up/organizing done in the garage.

Finish installing braces for the shelves in the chemical cabinet.

Glue up the blank for the handles for the portable sanding table and the holder for the forstener bits.

Get some firewood moved into the shop so it stays dry.

See if I can locate a decent piece of angle to use as a router guide for the long dimension on the tabletop.

Make up a jig to use for a drill guide on 3/4 plywood.

Cut the bottom panel for the portable sanding table.

Maybe assemble the frame for that while I'm at it.

Interesting bit of history on what happened to several iconic American tool brands courtesy of Stumpy Nubs:

Solve some other mysteries.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday ... (y)

28 and overcast here in srn NH. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 56. South wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph, forecast for today.

Good morning, 47 going to 67 today some scattered rain in the forecast.

Water went cold while in shower. The propane water heater gave up I think. Could be the electronic fire starter assembly perhaps. Any suggestions on trouble shooting steps.
Going for an appointment with Podiatrist this morning. Trying to save my shoulder as much as possible so the injury does not get any worse. However using one arm has its limitations.

Cody got his Bordetella booster last night so he is up to date on vaccinations.

On the water heater if it needs replacement and if we go back to electric what is the most recommended water heater replacement?

Good morning, the low temperature is 37 and the high to 41°F. Wind SE 16 gusting to 24 mph. Rain and it is raining now. Dipping down to 10 tonight.

I will be going out and cleaning up some windrows today.

Tomorrow, I will be incorporating into the dump and town run a look at a new to me 2014 Dodge pickup with the 3 Litre diesel. There is also 2010 Ford gasser the same dealer has. They want 5 grand for it uncertified. I have a feeling it is a rust bucket. There is nothing 'wrong' with the Journey, except that I need a pickup to pull the future trailer.

daugen, interesting video.

Have a safe day all

Frits hope trip to get groceries successful, and infusions went well. Wonder what packing tent and feeder means?
He removed the deer feeder stand and the blind tent thing he used to shoot from. I guess the shooting at dusk with auto clips on an AR15 must have been retaliation from reporting him to the sheriff earlier when he was target shooting into our property. But he used hundreds of rounds and must have cost him a few bucks

Good Morning.
A grey day, but clearing.

Yesterday, after breakfast, I ended up loading and hauling manure, as the ground had dried significantly, and rain was coming, and no freeze on the horizon.
I got two loads moved to a neighboring farm before quitting while I was ahead for making a mess out of the ground.
They spread it and disc it into their pumpkin fields, planted in raised mounds covered with plastic.
By spring time they’ve got a mountain of it to spread.

Cleaned up and tamped the ruts down, put the snow plow back on the tractor and put it away.
Did a little paperwork, not much shop clean up, but stayed busy until it was time to call it a day.

Not sure what today will bring.

RS, curiously the pictures that you post do not appear in the threads when I view them on Tapatalk. Not even a thumbnail icon. When the context or your post implies there is a picture, I’ll open TBN in a browser, and sure enough there is the picture. This only seems to happen with your posts, I wonder why.
I generally always use an iPad or iPhone to follow TBN, and the safari browser shows your pictures just fine.
