Dennis, nice video of the Alaska trip.... I was almost feeling seasick during one portion.... Beautiful scenery for sure!

Thanks, I’ll have to edit some more down. Surprised how good they turned out from vhs originals, but I converted everything to mp4 a few years back.
That was me going Yee Haw with the boat rocking. Lol.
My best friend from HS was the one we were visiting, he was the one rowing to shore to get his car to pick us up at the dock. Ocean must have been 10 ft below their dock at low tide.
He and I drove back to Ohio, while our wives flew. He was moving to Pittsburgh to go to law school after living in Juneau about a year maybe.

63°.
My new buddy was out in the front yard again. Didn’t run when I sat down on my porch seat, but it did move along away from me. I scared it earlier going to mail box

Got new lower water heater element, and it is exact number as original. It’s now installed so I have a “like new” replacement water heater.
Also the last 3 UPS batteries came, so all my UPSs now have new batteries. I think only 1 didn’t need new battery. I have 4 cyber power, 3 APC. old trip lite and Liebert UPS I’m not fixing, haven’t used them in years.

Mostly worked on quicken stuff today. Nice day outside wasted.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 18.2C with very heavy rain... so much so that the eaves are overwhelmed. There's also a hint of thunder. The wind is calm and there was 10.4mm in the gauge at 0900... Lord knows what's in there now o_O .

Due to this, I have no idea what I'll get up to today.

That's about it, take care all.

Well, maybe I'm turning the corner on this cold. Coughing today is far less frequent, and don't have as much of the "blah" feeling. We'll see what tomorrow brings....

David, they give you pain meds for a reason. They will actively help in keeping inflammation at bay. Hope you're eyes feel better !

Drew, that's a nice unit! Price wasn't too over the top, being low milage. Hardly used.

Wow, got behind and I could only read about 10 minutes a day...not enough to keep up. Hope I didn't miss anything major and everyone's ok.

RS is on my clean morse taper list. Don't forget a drip of oil to keep rust from forming if they are going to be mated for a while.

Work is crazy busy still, but I'm off tomorrow. Good thing cuz I'm worn out.

My car started burning excessive oil since December. Used to be 4000 miles/qt, now it might be as low as 1200 miles/qt. Hope to check the PCV valve. It's a GM 2.5 ecotech. They have a breather hole between the #2 and 3 intake runners, that I guess the crankcase breaths through. They say if it or the PCV gets clogged, it will cause the problem. I've ran nothing but Mobil 1 Extended Life in it for a year and a half. It has 134,000+ miles, and I put 56K of those on it. Hopefully I'll figure it out, but I don't really like working on cars/trucks except to save my family a small fortune that mechanics charge. So, I do it.

Turned in a proposal at work to re-purpose a lab that is not real big. maybe 20ft x 20 ft just guessing. I want to fill it with new machine tools for the students. Also priced a new Fanuc Robocut wire edm. Wow, with some options it can quickly get up to $250K. Added to the quote. They'll probably say no, but I put it in front of them.

I need to see what machines will fit where.

I'm tired. Need sleep.

Prayers for all of you! Our country, Ukraine.

I'm on the fence about giving Ukraine some of our M1 Abrams battle tanks. Hate to give ruskys shooting practice at our tanks. Why don't we give them some of the old ones sitting in the bone yard in California?

Don you making sausage substitute or spring rolls?
Sausage substitute, the spring roll wrappers are perfect casings for the sausage. If I can find the brown rice wrappers they can make the "sausage" look darker. I got my order of pepperoni spice delivered today so I will try another attempt tomorrow to make some spicy sausage. 2 cups old fashion oats and a cup of various spices wrapped in rice wrappers.

long, tiring, but very successful day.
Ron was right...
spent a lot of time in this gigantic diesel pusher and just decided it was too much for me. It was gorgeous and priced super reasonably at 50k.
Just too big. But what a deal for someone, if they like blue, which I do...

I spent time in a 36 Class A gas and it was ok, but not worth the extra size when I tried out the Class C.
It was like a hand going into the right size glove, I knew this was what I wanted, and only four years old with 30k miles.
Gas hog V10, but they all have that, but it had a real bed that doesn't fold, large slides for inside room, and auto levelers which were a must for me.
A little more than I wanted to spend but looking around in the 40-50k range just left me depressed. He knocked a couple grand off which I expected.
Unit was spotless, could use new front tires but ok until I replace them. I requested a fresh PA inspection, which means they have to check the brakes, which
I really wanted done. Drove fine, noisy, but I wear headphones so don't care about that any more. V10 was plenty peppy in a 27 footer.
I also asked for a full exterior detail, they usually charge 1600 but he'd split it with me. I still thought that was high, and negotiated that down to 500 bucks.
Otherwise did not beat him up since he was very forthright and transparent with me. Plus he knows the rv and has serviced it.
Generic, affordable, hopefully will enable me to do a lot of traveling comfortably.
Head West Not So Young Man may be a possibility. Have to try shorter trips first to make sure my body/neck is willing.
Wow - lotta RV for one guy!

Good morning, the low temp is 30 and it is going down to 28°F for a high today. Wind NW 11 mph. Periods of snow. It started raining yesterday around noon, changed to freezing rain and has now changed over to snow.

No word on the tractor, yet. Maybe today.

Until the tractor gets back it is an energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all
