I'm considering installing a third function valve with the intent of getting something like a Danuser T3. Might get a 3 pt one like a Shaver. I don't much experience with any of those, all I know is I'm too old to be doing this stuff by hand anymore, and augering is taking too dang long. I'm just looking for any feedback for anyone who has used these implements or accessories with a tractor like mine. The T3 states a recommended 15GPH and I know my tractor is rated at like 8. Don't know what PSI it is.

I mostly deal with 2 7/8 drill stem and 8' t-posts. Augering pipe and pushing t-posts down with bucket. It works, but could be better. Pipe never seems to set as good as ones that I had pressed in.

There are several third function kits out there, didn't know if there were any I should stray away from.

Your Pressure should be ok (probably around 2150 psi & adjustable on back of loader valve) Danuser wants 1500-3000. The lower GPM will slow the strikes/sec to around 2-3 from 6 would be my guess based on the T3 requirements.

I can't speak to having experience with getting a driver. But I can speak to the 3rd function kit. I have the WR Long, and have mostly positive things to say. If I had to rate it, 3.5 stars out of 5. I've had to replace the control board, and I'm not a fan of the switch, which also got replaced, but that was personal preference thing. The valve itself is pretty standard.

As to the driver, I'd consider going with the rear mounted one. Looks they both will work on your tractor, just slow. But the front mounted one might be more difficult to use. Not much leveling and you might be restricted by how high you can lift. Just things to consider.

The Shaver will work well, the gpm flow rate is a recommendation but I often ran my old tractor at idle which was well below the flow rate recommendation and I made alot of money with it. My new Mahindra I run about half throttle and it works very well, I have the HD8 and have driven T posts to 8' wood, last project with it I built my horse arena with 2 3/8 pipe with 4' pounded into the dirt and 6' above the dirt. It didn't take very many hits to sink them. With T posts I have to feather the valve or it will slam them a few feet deep in one or two hits.

Just a thought, my counties soil conservation board has a trailer mounted one available for rent.

I have the big Shaver and it's heavy but will drive a railroad tie if required. It taxes my M9 [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] a bit but i have adequate hydraulic flow. Be apprised, none of them are a cheap date.

The hardest part is plumbing the return line into the transmission case/hydraulic reservoir. Ideally dump it into where you would add hydraulic fluid into the tractor, but I am finding it very difficult to find someting to thread into that hole to be able to adapt a hydraulic hose to. I'm almost at the point on my Mahindra 2638 of brazing a pipe nipple into the hole.

I Teed the loader return line to the rear case on my M9. Actually used a Pioneer quick coupler as my new round bailer has to dump there as well. That way I can dump the Shaver or the bailer, depending on what I have out back.

I have a kencove hd 8, same as a shaver. I plumbed mine right into the hydro outlets on the back of the tractor. I run it on my McCormick ct 41. A rebadged LS. Works great. Plumbed through the hydro couplers it's slightly slower than if you can dump it directly into the hydro reservoir. Still beats augering or digging by hand. I can drive 10 4" wood posts an hour , putting them 3 feet deep. I bought the driver because I couldn't find one to rent.
