If you don’t mind my asking: A) What’s your total aH storage capacity? B) What are your panels (wattage+number)? We put in a small system to run our fridge and some security lighting (4x1000 AGM; 4x375W panels) but I find that one day of rain/clouds and I and plugging the fridge into the extension cord.

of course we installed the system just before Winter Solstice, but still. . .

I need to disconnect the one ”big” 500 lumen dusk2dawn LED flood and see if that helps.

THANK YOU!

36 outside this AM. Heading to lower 50's. Rain should move through this evening, like yesterday.

Barn roof is more than 80 percent done.

Garage is demo'd and removed.

Milk House is awaiting starter strip on one side, vinyl, and Mr. Cool electrical hookup. Then I can progress to enclosing walk way to Barn, finishing off that area and then returning to the inside work of trimming out stuff and plumbing.

All appears to be OK here, somewhat under control. Controlled chaos.

Hope all are feeling better, have a great day and be safe.

Good evening all. 47ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, afternoon started to cloud up, and high temp was 81ºF. Ken good to hear you are down to tape and seal and clean up work. Not too long ago the were several narrow bridges across Missouri and Mississippi rivers. State hwy 47 across Missouri R had less than 8 ft lanes and lot of trailers coming across.

Forecast deteriorated faster than the weather critters said - winds picked up and assistant (MrsKilroyJC) is nervous about my machinations under the best of circumstances. . . I got the top section assembled to the lower sections, jury-rigged a guy line collar about 5’ from the top, screwed the cargo rings to the house for the other ends of two guylines, and did some measuring for rough guyline lengths, and then we went out to dinner. Heavy rains today, snow/thunder snow tomorrow, so I can build a shelf to put the router on in the laundry room and maybe run the cable out the wall, through the counduit support strut, and up into the mast.

Baby Steps. . .

good morning all
damp morning, light rain on and off all day, warmer up to 53.

Rip, controlled chaos is how many things get done. keep all those plates up in the air.

no plans for today other than going out to lunch with my brother.

decided to look at this old girl next week. actually much cheaper alternative than buying new truck and rv trailer.
guy hasn't used it in a year, bought a home in Florida. Biggest problem will be it sitting too long.
He had it sold, went on test run, blew a turbo. Not a lot of miles on Cummins/Allison combo; rv is pretty ugly but has everything I want
plus it's cheap enough. Located ten miles away, very convenient, kept in a garage.

going to take my BIL with me, he has an excavation company with big trucks; I think his two boys might become my mechanics.
Nice to have that in the family....
old rv's are like old boats. Everything breaks, only a matter of when. maintenance is key. This rig has been stored in a garage, good thing.
but what about first time it rains? Roof could be a colander...

my desire for wanderlust is overcoming my desire to grow more tomatoes. We shall see.
Head West Not So Young Man may get revived, who knows.

38, was foggy earlier, but had lifted now that there is little golden red glow in the east. Might see 60 today, then rain.

Rip, that's a great barn. Thanks for posting the pix.

RNG, that's an ingenious way to store straps...I always just quickly wrap the strap around the rachet, and then slide it into a sandwich ziplock bag...some of my ziplocks are so old they don't make them like that anymore. I'll have a new way when the bags finally wear out.

Buppies, glad you're feeling better.

I had a freak out moment yesterday...walked out of Northern Tools only to learn I had lost my truck key and fob...thought back about my actions and knew I had them in the store when I went to pay...sure enough, the cashier had a big grin on her face when I returned...I dropped them when paying.

Anybody ever eat at Torchy's Tacos? We went over there to see their grand opening on the way to Costco...didn't even get out of the truck...a line at least 200 people long. Must be good, but there were giving some freebies, too.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

Starlink saga is ongoing - look for my other comments/replies here and in the StarLink Best Effort thread.

was 45-ish most of overnight, jumped up 10F from 4aM to now, currently 55.4F.

The training system at work is suffering a ton of glitches. It isn’t too bad for us returning workers, but any newbies are really suffering with inconsistency. And this really is a detail-oriented 100% accuracy activity.

Among other issues. . . Yay.

We went out to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant because the cook (me) hasn’t had. A day off since last year 🤣😂

anywho, Have a safe, wonderful, happy, blessed day!
