Good morning!!!!

Well, the wallet is a LOT lighter! I was able to stay under the $400 mark at Costco..... only spent $397.68. Ouch!

The other bill was no where near as bad.... only $116. I noticed the meat prices went up a bit.... but still can't be beat elsewhere. For example, prime Angus ribeye was only $11.99/lb. Angus 85% ground beef was $2.99/lb. Angus sirloin was $5.99/lb. The only problem is the quantity--- the smallest cuts are between 25-35 pounds. When we cut them into steaks, usually get about 15-20 meals in the freezer.

Of course, the Costco amount included the $4.99 rotisserie chicken that we already ate..... leftovers will make a pot of chicken vegetable soup tomorrow.

The knee was arguing with me all day. It's still complaining, with the occasional yell. Took a couple pics to show the swelling to the doc next week. This is getting old.... I want to find problem... better yet, the solution.

Going to put the feet up now, with a warm rice pack on the knee.

Everyone have a good evening.

Coffee is done brewing. 38° with fog this morning. Heading to 40° with chance of snow and rain in afternoon. Yesterdays weather was a bust for forecasters. Had several hours of sun and no precipitation. Grocery shopping went well. Managed to get out with spending less than $40. Did 2 walks with Sassy. After sun up will do a check of all Eavestrough and Downspouts. Need to chase fish out of the pump filter on garden pond. If it decides to freeze this winter. They will die in the ice.
Squirrels have a never ending desire to climb up to bird feeders.

RNG, I have a tote with various size tie-downs in it. Just throw the used ones in it. Then untangle it when needed.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, low temp is 21 and the high to 30°F. Wind E 11 mph.
SNOW! A couple of inches last evening and overnight and a couple more today. I'll be going out to plow at 7 (daybreak).
I have an appointment in town at 2 so I gotta plow then shower and go. Pic is from one of the security cameras, looking down the driveway.
1-2023-01-11.jpg

I don't go out in the cold super heated after a shower. I prefer to get dry and let the old bod cool down then go out in the colder air.

Part of the p trap problem is the buildup of grease and crud in the kitchen sink line, this line is 40' long and has a 90° corner in it. 5 years ago the last time we had a problem with it we put 2 45° bends with a short nipple in place of the 90. We've found that having the wood stove/furnace going in the basement helps. The line passes within 5' of the furnace. Heat rises and that helps with the crud. We also put a clean out T in the line so now we can use the snake on it if we have to. Junior will be snaking the line today while I am in town.

Thanks for the video RNG. I think I will be trying that way to keep my tie downs in better order, rather than Rons' way.

buppies, just because you feel a bit better is no excuse to not drink 6 gallons of water a day.

Have a safe day all

Oops, sunup is at 08:00 not 07:00
