Hey guys,
I have a [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] B2650 hat that has 250-300 hrs on it. It’s a great tractor and perfect for around our little farm/welding and machine shop. I bought a piece of land 10-acres that needs to be cleared and I’d like a little bit bigger tractor. I’m thinking about a 40ish hp Mahindra and I’m wondering if you folks like your Mahindra tractor? I know they are heavier then the [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] tractors and I wonder if that goes to stronger more durable? I’ve had 4 Kubotas and all have been great machines. I’m thinking about changing brands not because I don’t like my [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] I just would like to try another brand and I hear Mahindra is a good one to try. Also what should I ask for my 2650? Great shape! No dents or scratches.
Thanks

I'm brand loyal. My suggestion is to buy a bigger M or MX series Kubita in the 50-60 hp. You already know [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] is a good brand, why change now?

I have 2 mahindras , an older 2810 with shuttle shift and a newer 2538 hst really like both tractors and have had good luck with both, My buddy has an Ls xr4140 and it is a really nice tractor with lots of standard features. I would look at all available tractors in your area before deciding, If they let you try them out all the better,

You probably can't go wrong with either brand. The Mahindra is definitely heavier, and has a bigger bucket that will allow you do more things faster. I've had mine for 6 years+ now, no problems, and it works like a beast. (Well over 1700 hours) My neighbor had the same [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] you do, and frankly, mine ran rings around his. Lifted more, pulled more, etc. And the bonus is (or was when I bought mine) no DEF, or regen procedures to go thru.

My other neighbor looked at [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] and Mahindra (didn't want a Deere for whatever reason) and said he like the Mahindra far better, and bought it.

I looked at the [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] & Deere before I bought the Mahindra, and there are a lot of little features that you'll appreciate after owning it for awhile.

But to each his own. Good luck with your choice.

I have no direct experience with either (I have that evil green machine  ) but one neighbor has a [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] and another has a Mahindra. The [AFFILIATE=1, nofollow=true, newwindow=true, title="Kubota"]Kubota[/AFFILIATE] works hard and never stops. The Mahindra mostly lives on a trailer going to, or coming back from, the dealer for repairs.

Maybe he got a bad one, or maybe he's just rough on it, but given what I've seen with these two, I'd go with the Kubota.

I ran a couple different mahindra tractors pulling a drag at a tractor pull. If someone gave me any one of those tractors I’d sell them and buy something else.

Just buy some floor dry for the leaks under the Mahindra.

My view of Mahindra is "it depends". Since they have so many manufacturers making various models for them, the quality, features and performance varies more than most.

I think dealers of any brand persuasion really vary from place to place. I've had really bad luck with the JD dealers, but I am 100% sure there are good ones out there.
