REALLY???????????

Here is a picture of the gas pumps down the road from me. Notice the price on the pump in the picture all the way to the right???? Its LEADED 110 octane!
You drive right up to it, buy as much as you want, pay the man, then drive away! I`m not going to comment any longer. There`s the proof, deal with it however you wish!

For $12.95/gallon? That's probably left over from 1995. Who would buy that?

That's not something to laugh at. It's true. Poor people with gas stoves, no ventilation, using the gas stove for heat, things like that, increase health risks.
The poor people's homes I have had the pleasure of working in is far from being air tight.. They are poor and can't afford the tight built homes of today.
Many of these poor people can't afford an air tight home.
Trust me, they'll be ok with their gas range.

My grand parents lived a ripe old age ( in their 90's) with their gas range.

You should be more worried more about what your food is sprayed with, and your beef is fed, more than the effects of what a gas range has on the body ;)

Don't they still call this place the ''land of the free '' ? :ROFLMAO:

I know I can find research's saying the exact opposite. Unless your research stats it's going to be free because it will be tax funded which mean it's still not free...
I will look forward to reading your research saying the exact object when you post it.

Research is saying geo-thermal is less expensive, better, cleaner and will make wind and solar obsolete in the future.
I will look forward to reading that when you post it.

Years ago when I built our garage I needed lots of heat right away so I got a 250,000 btu propane heater on a 500 gallon tank. Then I got concerned about fumes so I talked with an engineer with the city gas company. He said a new heater, working properly, running on LP gas it primarily puts off CO2 and water, the CO (carbon monoxide) is extremely low. Assuming I was getting enough fresh air it's very safe.
The three propane furnaces, stove, wall unit, water heater are vented, B-vent. The furnace exhaust is PVC plastic so you know they're efficient. Condensation is pumped outside.
Propane burns clean.

A bit off topic, but I prefer an induction cooktop over gas. That said, no way the gubbamint should ban gas stoves. We shouldn't have all of our eggs in one electric basket.

Used electric most of my life. Now that I have tried gas, never going back. The electric oven is fine, but a gas range allows me to cook in ways that are just impossible with electricity (induction or no). For example, I can put peppers directly on the flames to 'burn' the outer skin.

I need propane (would prefer NG) to run our backup generator anyway. Electric is more expensive to heat water, too. I know some 'science' pretends electric is more 'efficient' for heating homes, but when you experience both it is clear that gas does it better. You see, some science is done to advance ideology. My direct experience is only relevant in doing the job better in my situation.

For us, the indoor fireplaces are as much about ambiance as heat. They do allow us to keep the thermostat set lower and take the chill out of the room we are in.

I'm pretty sure whomever did these studies did not know much about cooking and made some huge assumptions. I also found it ironic that someone was arguing that people didn't use electric burners much as an argument to support the ban. The same would be true about gas. The volume of gas needed to cause problem would never exist for the vast majority of people.
