Bucket Shoes

I use those for plowing snow and have never lost one. As stated above replace the screws with bolts and I went 1 step ahead and ran them into unistrut nuts so I could spread the force out and let it dig in. I used grade 10.4 bolts and they get ran down very tight

This is my second winter using edge tamers and I love them.
Never had one come off but did notice the middle one starting to get loose once, took about 30 seconds to stop and tighten it and everything was fine. Been thinking about possibly using a drill bit to make a detent in the bucket where the bolt sits to help hold it in place but never actually tried it.
I‘m impressed with how quick and easy Edge Tamers are to install or remove, definitely less than a 5 minute job.

I see alot of videos with people using 3 edge tamers, they even recommend 3 on a 60" bucket like mine... after running just 2, I really don't see the need for a 3rd.

I use 2 on my 72" bucket, works fine. I could see shaving off a high crown on a driveway, but by then it probably needs to be shaved off anyway.

I'm a fan of the Edge Tamers as well. I got two (3") of them for my John Deere 73" bucket 3 years ago and experimented with the positioning for the best results. I too have a crown on my gravel driveway so I moved them in toward the middle a bit to try to limit the "crown removal". So this year when to the Edge Tamer website and ordered one of the 4" tamers. I put that in the middle and moved the 3" all the way to the side and it works perfectly.

Yeah, that's about it.

If anyone on here is considering a pair of these, might I suggest a set of the original Edge Tamers from R2 Manufacturing; they're an excellent product, and the idea of tossing money to the ChiComs for stealing intellectual property is offensive to me.

I purchased 3 for my Deere 1025R a few years back, and only to find I only needed two; eventually I got the Kioti and find myself using all 3 now, so I'm glad to have it. Anyhow, I've been using them for a few years now; when I got them my friends talked a lot of crap, but they've more than earned their keep.

I have been using 3 edge tamers on 72 inch bucket but suspect 2 would probably work about the same, I might actually try only 2 sometime and see what happens. On rough terrain I’m sure 3 would work better than 2.

I plow 20 or so rural driveways and like to have options. The Edge Tamers are a great option for the occasional gravel drive I may be asked to do (none contracted), and after the rare deep snow that I would be pushing back piles or relocating snow.
My current options are:
Bucket with Edge Tamers
SSQA plow with polyethylene edge (steel available)
Rear plow with polyethylene edge (SAA)
Rear blower
Plow truck with steel edge
Ariens 30" blower

I'm also going to be testing a polyethylene hand shovel / plow that I've seen commercial guys using. I have a new elderly client that I don't want to see out shoveling her sidewalk and between cars.
