Txdon, did they find all the ornaments?
All the ornaments had numbers on them and then a raffle for 20 cash prizes was held after the hunt. After the raffle everyone just returned/dumped their ornaments in a box and we did not count them, it was starting to lightening in the distance and everyone wanted to get home. last night's attendance was double Friday night's attendance so the popularity of this new nighttime "adult only" hunt is picking up. The breakfast with Santa is also growing, The 20-30 year old leads are really coming up with good ideas and working hard to make them popular. Everyone, including the staff seem to be having a good time, good too see.

Good morning! 58˚F heading to the mid 60s, North wind partly cloudy skies. Only .01" of rain, the minimum measurement of my rain gauges.

Drew it sounds like something you ate if you don't have a fever.

Good Morning.
its 35 with a high of 40 later on, grey skies with rain likely.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, a bit chilly at home, but very comfy in Palm Beach. Winds were not onerous, about the same time in both directions.

To be clear, My review of the Mission BBQ Prime Rib that I had on the way home was limited to that one menu item, overall their food is excellent, and definitely the best BBQ you will get in a chain. Their brisket is consistently as good as you will find anywhere.
The Prime Rib was a limited time special offering, their “Black Plate” special.

When I got home, I joined my wife at our oldest son’s house, she was babysitting the grandson while they were at a holiday party. we didn’t get home until past our bed time. We did have some fun with the son and daughter in law, we saw them pull in, so we quickly arranged ourselves in a “compromising position” on their sofa. When they looked through the widow, they were hesitant to come in, and we all had a good laugh when they did.

Today is another day of doing whatever pops up, with no real plan.

Good morning all, 37 going to 45 light rain in the forecast. The heated vest feels good in the mornings. Got the fire in the stove started a little late because of sleeping in later than I normally do.
Drew hope you recover soon.

Noticed some leaking of oil around the intercooler hose on the Sprinter which could be a sign of oil seal failure on the turbo charger. Will get Sun Motor to check this out when I go there next week.

Got the smoker covered up with a heavy tarp (16oz). Boy that tarp is heavy.

Sound like that the crazy drivers in Montreal are still there. We did not have a
car when we were there but it was clear they did not follow any traffic rules.
When we lived in Houston we were told to watch out if you stop at the red light for the pickups ramming you from behind.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 5:15AM.
Overcast with rain showers at times. High around 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%.
Rain is really comin' down right now. Radar sez we're under one of those yellow blobs.
Picked up another quarter inch of rain yesterday, and man was it windy! Haven't been outside to look around yet, but I bet there are a few more trees down.

Not sure I understand the idea behind the edge tamers, Ted. Most folks put tooth bars onto buckets to make them more agressive, so why would you want to tame down the cutting action?

Not quite the mind picture I needed this morning, Bill...

Starting to widen the vehicle search, as availability of the Prius is limited and dealers don't seem to willing to deal. The wait for the '23 would be worth it, though, for class leading accelleration and mileage. But Honda's Insight is less expensive than the '22 Prius, is faster, more comfortable, and doesn't suffer from first year teething issues.

Spent most of the day ironing out kinks with a new network security gateway that replaces functionality that died with the old Unifi DreamMachine router. Got it working, but it's slowing everything down, even after turning off most of the security stuff. Need to do more reading, and Unifi doesn't provide much in the way of documentation.

Need to spend some quality time on the touring bike today to get it ready for another trip south later in the week. Not sure what else I'll get into.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

Drew it sounds like something you ate if you don't have a fever

Well......now that you mention it, my dinner last night for first time was spicy chicken strips.
First piece had so much hot pepper or something on it I spit it out. Next couple of pieces were better but I have acid
reflux and can't eat very hot stuff. I was hungry, so I finished it. Man, I think I dropped a bomb in my gut.

I lay down for a while, and with a mouthful of Tums, am feeling better but still off
I'm happy if it's just the food...

rain showers going through, looks like snow up by Popgadget's.

It is interesting how the driving behavior changes with the area or region. in our experience Montreal had the most aggressive drivers and worse than Italy and Paris, France. Houston was close with pickups with front bumpers as big as Mac trucks that could take on an army tank. California had the most polite drivers and smooth traffic flow. In Texas during traffic jams you just go around on the grassy sides no problem. Saudi Arabia was the most worrisome for driving going around trucks with no visibility for oncoming traffic. Allah's will for whatever will happen. You could always see where the most dangerous spots were by the number of wrecks piled up on the side of the road. And the rules were if your taxi driver had an accident it would be your fault because if you had not been in the country the accident would not have taking place and first thing was to jail you until you settled the family claims. We had to feed one of our employees for two years in jail because of the poor treatment in jail.
