Which size firman ? Some smaller ones are inverter with good harmonics, larger ones not inverter. I have seen food trucks using them.
I have the previous version of the one Costco is selling now. Definitely not an inverter type. It's only "dual fuel" vs. the "tri-fuel" now. Starting watts is 9400, 8750 running. At the time, the Firman generators had a 'lifetime' warranty. Not sure if that is still the case.

I ran the welder off it for the first few tacks..... didn't really kick the throttle up much past the idle, I'm guessing about 100 rpm more.

Was in Toronto in 1979.
I probably got old check records from the 70 s. I was thinking today would be good to burn some old records, but never got to it.
Spent lot of time using quicken. Getting bills paid, accounts reconciled. Need to get rid of old 401k records as funds now elsewhere.

Took Amazon return to UPS store, boy were they busy. Packages piles everywhere. I can see this return getting lost.
Then went to mission BBQ for lunch. Had the prime rib. Not that impressed. Bit tough to cut and eat with plastic ware.

When I worked in Quebec in 1968 there was a lot a conflict between the province of Quebec and the rest of Canada and when asking for directions people always answered in French even though they all spoke good English
Any time I needed directions in Montreal, I went to a firehall. They almost always have a map of the city. Also whenever I had any interaction with someone in Quebec I spoke to them in broken french. I tried and they returned to me in English.

I had it on my way home from the airport today. Felt the same about it. It was not as tender as I expected

We loved Montreal. Very pretty city and once we got to know some people it was cool. We lived next to a Jewish cemetery> It was very quiet as you might suspect and the Jewish neighborhood was cool with all the small shops with specialties. We got along speaking German which is close to Yiddish the local language.

That was my experience as well. People really appreciated when you tried to speak French, however badly you did so.

I actually like Quebec Citty better. They have the old part of the city where you would swear you were in some European place in the 1600s. Very authentic looking. And the food!

Good early (Sunday) arvo. Overnight Low of 8.5C and it's presently 19.2C, fairly calm but overcast. No rain in the gauge however some is 'expected' (meaning CYA prediction) later on. Tomorrow is when the rain is, yet again, coming.

Lovely "Morning Prayer" Service at Church this A.M. and this evening we're having carols on the Church's lawn at 1930.

As I was driving home from Church I passed the Pony Club grounds and noted that there was practically no one there... until I got home to find all of them [vehicles/floats] parked in my front paddock. "Oh, yeah. They did ask if they could so that they could all go for a ride in the State Forest." :)

That's about it, take care all.

Getting tired of all the rain. It's been dark, dank, and dreary for a few weeks now.

Had a busy couple of weekends. Daughter had her water heater bust and flooded a closet in her house.

Met my son in law in town last weekend, and we picked up a new hot water heater. Ran it over to their house with the truck and installed it.

Removed a section of drywall to inspect to make sure the water that leaked into the bedroom didn't saturate the insulation. As well as letting fans blow on it to dry it out.

Removed the flooring in the closet as well as the underlayment. Pealed the flooring and underlayment back till we got to dry floor as well. Got the floor bleached and let it air and dry for the week.

Went over today and taught my son in law the particulars in replacing flooring. And how to do drywall. They got lucky and found a couple of bundles of flooring in the attic. Just enough to replace what had to be torn up from the water leak in the bedroom. That flooring style/ color was discontinued a couple years ago. So forget finding a replacement that would match.

Ran into town, and we were able to find a close match for the closet. Picked up the underlayment, supplies to patch the drywall. Then 5 hrs later we got finished

He's gotta finish the spackling, painting and has some base boards to replace. But at least they can move back into their bedroom instead of sleeping on the couch.

Little man was a good help too.
