The next guy that claims "green (or orange) paint doubles the price"

Every one talks how great JD dealer support is but they have been the worst to deal with

My 72 year old grandma took her 755 to an ag dealer and they said it's too small and they dont have time. They send her to a lawnmower jd place. They want to charge her $1200 for an oil change, fuel filter change and sharpen the mmm blades.

I ended up driving 190 miles each way to take care of it for her

Nothing to do with the subject here. Won't take up space here to expand on the problem and sorry for grandma. Dealers along with many businesses are having help problems and them paying people to not have to work is "major" in every business. Think more expensive in our future. Any dealer support is not gov't assisted, and not "a right" to be provided to us free, no matter the paint color.

Grandma is fortunate to have a grandson that will do it for her. Good on you.

Wow, I gotta shop where you shop. You did good to be able to complete all of the changes for less than $200!!!!

I couldn’t even buy all the fluids and filters for my machine for $200, to do the work myself.

Who is being paid not to work? Those programs were short duration and ended over 2 years ago.

Atleast as of last spring. I'm sure now hydraulic fluid alone would run 200

I think they intentionally have pricing on labor so high that private owners wont go there.

They do a lot of fleet work for landscapers which I'm sure is their bread and butter

To all: Suggest you buy your compact tractors from a farm tractor & equipment dealer. Avoid the “toy store” size dealers. When you go out back look at the service department. If there are a lot of bays with guys working in them with big hands & knuckles like mine, you can be assured they can take care of any problems you have.
If it looks more like a glorified lawn mower shop, move on.

Are you talking lawn mowers or tractors? My JD dealer would be more than happy to work on my 24hp tractor but right now he is backlogged over a month whatever the machine size.
