Every one talks how great JD dealer support is but they have been the worst to deal with

My 72 year old grandma took her 755 to an ag dealer and they said it's too small and they dont have time. They send her to a lawnmower jd place. They want to charge her $1200 for an oil change, fuel filter change and sharpen the mmm blades.

I ended up driving 190 miles each way to take care of it for her
Great opportunity to visit your Grandma!!

OK, so here is a head to head example. The JD 4044M vs the Kubota L4760 vs the TYM T494. All equipped with HST, loader, 2 rear remotes, 3rd function valve, R4 tires, cruise, suspension seat, draw bar, telescopic link ends and sway bars.

JD = $48885. Kubota= $50976. TYM=$30300

It is one thing to pay a premium, it is quite another to pay upwards of 50% more.
Wow, if that's actually a legit side-by-side of truly compatible machines (I did not look into it myself), then that flies in the face of nearly every mention that I've ever heard of pricing between the two brands. Most people who shop both, even a relatively popular YouTuber who sells both, always implies the two brands are on pretty much on parity with regard to pricing for competing machines.

Wow, that's terrible. Are you sure most of that wasn't pickup and delivery of the machine, if you're not close to the dealer?

I do my own, so couldn't tell you what my dealer would charge, but my neighbor has all his Deere service done by our local dealer, I'll ask him what they charge when I see him outside this weekend. He's always broke, always scrounging to save a buck here or there, so I can't imagine it costs him much at all. His machine is one of their larger garden tractors, almost the size of that 755.

Deere has separated out Ag from Landscape dealers. My own dealer who used to do both lost their Ag contract with Deere, and now does only lawn. I believe one can still get parts for the other, but they certainly don't stock them, anymore.

JD has all but eliminated mom and pop single outlet dealers in favor of multi outlet dealers and Kubota is going down that road as well as it CNH.

The ag dealer said they would haul it for free until they heard it was a 755 and said never mind, we dont work on those.

The lawnmower place priced it without hauling it and quoted a month or 2 lead time.

I wonder if they quoted a complete oil change, all fluids and all filters?

The JD 4044R (R, not M) is a much closer comparison to the Kubota Grand L4760. Both are their top of the line in regards to standard features.

Reguarless it cost me under $200 for hydraulic, engine oil, fuel filter and fluids.

I'm guessing they try to price it high enough to turn away people. They mostly do lawnmowers.

Wow, I gotta shop where you shop. You did good to be able to complete all of the changes for less than $200!!!!

Not saying this is the best way to think, but faith in the longevity of the company and resale value are big contributors. Public perception is that TYM won’t be around, or they will merge or be bought out. Even if that’s not true, its a lingering perception.
Kubota has far outstripped their reputation with their prices. They aren’t that good.
My M-126X has cost me more in repairs than my older, higher hour AGCO & Case-IH tractors.

The Kubota model you list is a grand L, a premium model. A better comparison in that category would be a L4701 with those features. Or maybe a MX.
