Good morning! 66˚F heading to upper 70s, cloudy, South wind. Tempest is back up, the sun charged the battery enough to get it into battery saving mode again this morning. I hope the new unit will arrive soon.

The neighborhood nursery has reduced the price of the 4" bedding plants to $1 ea. so my garden got 20 more Fall/Winter plants including kale, Brussel Sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower already about 6" high. I turned my drip irrigation system is back on.

Enjoying my time off from "work" and missing it also, if that makes sense. I'm back on the schedule for a few days the last weeks of November.

38° now highs in the low 60’s SW wind 5-10 mph and sunny today.

Yesterday was a fairly productive day outside, more “to good to throw away” stuff hauled to the dump. It’s finally looking like I’m gaining some headway. My goal is to get things cleaned up before it becomes a burden to either myself or the Mrs lol.

The only thing on tap for today is dog to the vet for yearly checkup/shots.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good Morning
It’s 34 with a high over 60 today.

Yesterday started with breakfast with the professor where the election results figured prominently in the conversation. Next was to trade my Prius for my son‘s Mercedes at the inspection station.
Wife and I took the Benz to Costco and did our shopping, when I went to load the trunk with our plunder, I was surprised to find there was already two sets of golf clubs and a batch of other stuff already in there. However our grocery’s all fit, including a 35 pack of Diet Coke, a case of Snapple in case Drew comes by, almost 40lbs of brisket, and a batch of other stuff.
Later in the day, my wife took me to pick up the Prius. She reminded me that when she once said that she would like a Mercedes, I told her they were too expensive to maintain.
Both my son’s car and my own got the same service, brakes, oil change and state inspection. His bill was over $1000, mine was $300. My wife is happy with her Toyota.

Took a look at the Carryall, I’m not sure that it is charging. I got as far as verifying the wiring and determining if it is a A or B circuit system so I can troubleshoot it today.
Got the smoker ready and brisket trimmed and rubbed, so I could light the fire and load it up after the Airport Authority meeting, which I attended via zoom. It was after 9pm when I lit the fire, should be fine, I’m supposed to be serving it around 6pm today.

It amazes me how well the smoker keeps it’s set temperature by adjusting the draft fan. It typically only wanders a few degrees from the set point, and can usually make through an 18 hour cook without reloading the fire box.

Today I’ll revisit the Carryall, keep an eye on the smoker, probably push the manure back into the bin and stack it up to make some more room. I’ve got some inside chores and computer work to do, and get to go feed the firemen at 6.

Morning all, 40 going up to 68 and sun is up

Aunt out of hospital and recovering. This is her third different cancer. She is 85 and is very active. A fighter for sure.

Drove kid to school, doe jumps out, no problem, slow down an big buck jumps out. hmmm.

Chimney people came over, wandered around the roof and caulked up some miscreant nails and told me no charge?? I gave each a $20 and they are putting together a quote for repoint/flashing if that does not work. The upcoming heavy rains should be a good test.

Friends in Florida complaining about storm, Think they forget they are in Florida sometimes, hopefully they will be fine.

Friends in Southern CA complaining about rain, after spending 3 years complaining about no rain

Wife still not feeling too much better, took some of that out on me last night....

Mid grade gas back up to $4.55 here post election day. Should have gone day before election when it was quite a bit cheaper.

back to work, see ya

Apparently my smoked meats are popular amongst the locals, I’m smoking brisket to bring to the local VFD by popular request for their meeting tomorrow night. That means a trip to Costco this morning, so I can get it started this evening.

Well, I like brisket too.

I keep thinking of buying laser printer, most of my printing is just documents, don’t know how I go thru so much colored ink.
