If you will hold the Bangalore torpedo while someone uses a 15 lb maul to drive it into a solid roadbed I’ll watch from a safe distance.

You want to go about 3ft below the road surface or it will bubble up the road. Then the city gets mad at you and you either have to fix it yourself or get a crazy bill.
