It was really nice this afternoon, and my wife wanted to split a load of slab wood that came off the BSM, so we got started setting everything up,

She really likes running the splitter,

The "self unloading" trailer really works good for this!

There wasn't a lot on that load, but it was just plain a nice day to split wood and then go check out the woods,

I have another bigger load to split, but that's for another day!

I tore my rotator cuff, Bicep muscle, and broke a rib Jan 15 2022. Ribs heal quick. My shoulder would not heal without surgery.
I was scheduled for surgery in May, however I in May I suffered two strokes two weeks apart.
That put a delay in my shoulder surgery until I recovered from the strokes, had heart surgery to fix the hole in the ticker that was causing the blood clots. I finally had the shoulder surgery 3 weeks ago. That's why I'm spending time on TBN getting fatter rather than being outside working.
Shoulder healing after surgery is a 6 month recovery. During the first 4 month, you risk tearing the shoulder again, and an attempt to re repair would be like putting duck tape over a dirty surface. I used to think how much I hated tossing up hay bails.
"God please let me be able to do that again."
Doing some walking the ground turns white.
Man you had a lot of bad luck all at once. Getting old really sucks but it still beats the alternative, lol.

Take care of yourself.

I don't seem to be having trouble getting used to living here. Finally got a chance to work on downed trees from the snow back in March.

Got a load of firewood going out tomorrow.

We were in
Looks like a nice spot. Where were you before ? A big change ?

gg
Seymour Tn. Between Knoxville and Sevierville. In a subdivision. Wasn't a bad area until the invasion.

Much quieter and rural here.

Now YOU are part of the invasion of the new area! lol

Well it was a pre existing home so not really. LoL

Nice the neighbors aren't busy bodies here. A big plus.

Closer to my dad was the biggest factor.

We were looking for 1.5-5 acres and wound up with 28. Go figure.

In a few years you'll find the 28 wasn't enough.

I think it's going to be more than enough to keep up with. Got lots of clearing to do.

I grew up on 5 and then 10. Never thought I'd be able to own that much. I thought 10 was heaven. The layout and terrain makes a big difference.
