I got my Bushring from Up-Armored Knives. Will Welling used to make his knives in West Valley, NY. Now he is making them in Tennessee.

That's a good looking knife. What's the blade made from?

It's Nitro V stainless.
I'll have to look into Nitro V. I've been impressed with S30V. Seems to hold an edge well but can still be sharpened with regular stones.

I really don't know anything about the different types of steel. Will is a friend of mine and I can vouch for the quality of the knives I've seen. This one is sharper than a witches tongue.

I included a Facebook link in my post. Check it out if you wish. Will is a good bloke and can answer all your questions.

I've been a knife freak for decades. Had a large collection of Puma that I sold off and now still have dozens of other brands.
If you enjoy having cheap blades around I tripped over Morakniv brand on Amazon. Before Covid they were around ten bucks ...... now they range up to around $25 for the stainless. I've bought at least ten this year. I have them mounted on each of my six tractors and also my several work benches.
Very sharp & durable. Variety of styles & colors.

I've always liked Puma knives. My favorite hunting knife is a Puma Skinner. Great blade shape, beautiful stag scales and a really nice sheath.

When I was about 12 years old I was fishing with my younger brother and my much older cousin. I found a two blade jack knife stuck in the crutch of a tree. I carried that until I was around 30 and lost it.

My older brother was a Superintendent in a Copper Mine and had lots of two bladed electricians knives. I got several from him and then when my Dad died I got several more again. I have them in many places and of course my work pants pocket along with a Leatherman Super tool on my belt. Mini Leatherman in my pocket.

I have a couple of other large Leathermans in my truck console.

Back when I was still working I was on vacation up here and fed a bear blind for my brother and the hunter after shooting the bear gave me a Buck 110. I tried to refuse it, but he insisted I take it.
