Idle speed on this 3T75U has always been a bit low, but now the 3 point is getting weak and I need to raise the idle. Tried adjusting the rod on the throttle at the fuel control lever since throttle has a detent. Thought I had it but it dropped back to original low speed. What am I missing, Winston?

Notice the detent ball #18. When at idle that ball should be in the detent. Make sure it is free and working. With the ball in the detent you should be able to adjust idle speed with #9 (adjuster link)

The detent is working but maybe not strongly enough. As I adjusted the rod as you pointed out, the idle increased but once locked down and then cycled the throttle, it's back to very low RPM again. It seems that if the detent was firmer, it would work.So #10 looks to be a spring to hold tension on the ball and I'll bet impossible to find.

In new business, since I got my lift cylinders rebuilt and loader is working great, now the 3 point has gotten so weak that it will just barely lift my box blade and is getting worse. Any idea where this actuator assy is and how to access it? Curl cylinders were rebuilt about a year ago and lift cylinders 2 weeks ago so naturally the only thing untouched is the 3 point lifting mechanism which I am definitely NOT familiar with.

Any help will be deeply appreciated if not monetarily compensated for. ;o)

This should be the spring. SPRING

I am not suggesting the actuator is the problem but you will find it under the seat. This is it. HYD VALVE

Is your stop valve wide open? (the little round wheel between your legs)

Wow! $25 shipping for that spring. Might put that off. I replaced the hydraulic valve a couple of years ago with a new one from Hoye. Seems like I remember a couple of O-rings between the valve and the mount that could have broken? The Stop valve is working well. Freed it up with Kroil, exercised it full open and full closed several times and used it to lock my box blade in "up" position so I can use the loader. It is staying up so far.

With coupon for Harbor Freight, they have a large container box with close-able lid full of various springs. I've used a few already on mowers and throttle cables. The entire kit was less than $9 after the coupon. None ever rust either.

Even though I broke the paper gasket taking off the hydraulic valve, a little RTV and an o-ring from a kit I bought at a yard sale at least 35 years ago and she’s up and working perfectly for FREEEE!

I was so happy I went to Tractor Supply and bought her a new seat!

Keep the TSC receipt and warranty sheet/card for the seat. These days, seat manufactures no longer use UV formulas to have the seat last 20+ years. You would be very lucky to get 5 years.

The only seats on the market with UV rated protection are the Marine seats made by Wise.

These match well with red Yanmars.

@bmaverick do you have a preferred reseller of the Wise seats?

All the best,

Peter

My local Blain's Farm and Fleet, but it's seasonal. At the end of September, they go on sale for about 10% off and then put away till Springtime.

Wally world has them, but you need to watch like Amazon, is it backed by the site or 3rd party. hmmm

Now, both Wise and the other brand sell the swivel for these seats. The Yanmar YM2XXX came with these as options. Great for those with a rear blade and not kinking your neck so much when turning back to watch. Plus for those on the chunky side, it's easier to enter and exit the machine. ;) I get that way come January after all the holiday eatings. lol

@bmaverick Thanks! I do miss Farm and Fleet. Nice folks, and a great source for pretty much everything.

All the best,

Peter

I think those seats are so nice, they might give my tractor an attitude!

Actually, She lives in a covered barn so UVs are not an issue.
