76 and cloudy @ 13:30, heading up to a high of around 80F with a possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Looks like we did get some rain overnight, LWS reports 0.15" since midnight. Will be enough to keep the grass growing.
Got foam board insulation unloaded first thing yesterday. Managed to work the block (4' x 4' x 8') of it out far enough that I could get the forks under the end and scoot it far enough out to get the forks under it from the side and then pick it up. In doing so I managed to catch the step bumper on the van and bend it upwards however. Will need to fix that today once I get the bucket back on ...
After that I ran down to the corner and got 4 1/2 gallons of diesel, slid by MickyD's on the way back for a sausage McMuff and some hashbrowns.
Took a while to locate the battery-operated pump though, finally found it in the empty cat litter box in the garage I had set it in and got the Kubota refueled.
By the time I had done all that it was time to go pick up the steel over at friends.
Went over there and got the steel loaded. It was the crate for a gazebo they got, not sure exactly what I'll use it for but it could be handy.
Got treated to a spin in their new Tesla Model Y SUV:
Acceleration was impressive, nice and quiet, with a very nice ride. And great visibility out the front with a low dash. I think they are happy that they went with that vs. the Prius they were considering.
When I got back I put the bucket on the Kubota and ran the rest of that second clay pile through the screener twice. Maybe one bucket load of clay left in the rocks and gravel, so might run it through one final time ... or not.
After that I put the forks back on the Kubota and managed to pry the plate compactor out of the sleeper area in the van where it was wedged in pretty tight.
Took that over and set it in front of the garage and got it lifted out of the box. Handy having a lifting ring built into the frame, an advantage it had over the Harbor Freight unit.
Didn't have the correct oil for it (10w30) so had The Woman stop by Autozone and pick up a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 synthetic (which can also be used in the Cub Cadet) since it was right on the way to the Mexican place where She was picking up dinner.
Was too late to mess with any further by the time we finished dinner so I stuck a trash bag over it until I could get to it today.
Agenda for the rest of the afternoon:
Fill plate compactor with gas and oil and get it moved over to the barn area.
Consolidate mulch onto one pallet.
Probably work on cleaning up the outside area around the barn, check slope on surface drains and get those covered.
Get a haircut.
Hope everyone is having a great Monday ...
