The fitting suddenly started leaking and I soon lost steering just as I got into barn. The bolt seems tight - I understand there may be either copper crush washers or O-rings under the bolt. How difficult is this to disassemble and where do I source replacement parts?

I had noticed a very slight leak a few days ago, but it is suddenly spraying everywhere.

What trouble will I get into trying to do it myself?

That banjo fitting should have two O-rings inside. Should be a matter of pulling the bolt off, take the o-rings out and put new ones.

You can go to an hydraulic shop or auto parts store to match the size or just order a set online. Those are very cheap.

Thanks very much for the quick reply

Thanks everyone. I found the proper O-rings size and reinstalled. Then I realized there was a small (fatigue?) crack at the banjo joint. Tried to order a new hydraulic solid line but back-ordered at least 6 weeks. Finally found someone to TIG weld and reassembled. Had to add nearly 9 gallons of fluid, but runs perfectly now.
