In eighth grade chemistry class a friend accidently put leftover Winkler One solution in the Winkler Two beaker... the resulting reaction blew up on his face, and sent him on a quick trip to the hospital. Wouldn't you know, I was out sick that day and only heard about it the next day. I didn't miss much school but when I did, it always seemed to be when something happened.

It the ninth grade I had a science teacher that openly admitted to "experimenting" with LSD...in the class just before mine he exposed some barium to an oxygen environment and started the lab on fire...we had to sit in the cafeteria while he cleaned the mess the firemen left...!

LSD is still not illegal. You just need a prescription for it.

I once joked with my doctor that what I really needed was cocaine instead of blood pressure meds. She, with out blinking, said I can prescribe you something very close to that, if you want. You gotta love great, gold standard, private medical insurance.
