Maybe. In my state, 32% of electricity is generated by wind and solar.
Sure it is. Got proof other than what the powers that be tell you? If even true, which I doubt, what was the cost to get to that 30% and what is the what are the negatives caused by this technology.

I wish more people would accept both-and solutions instead of either-or.

Agree with this.

We are a long way from either-or viability, maybe never.

Both-and can work great for many households.

And ultimately STILL powered by "fossil fuel" .

Generating and transmitting that electricity via fossil fuels from a power plant is still more efficient than a small ICE.

In 2021, renewable resources accounted for the largest share of New Mexico's in-state electricity generation, about 36% of power from utility-scale (1 megawatt or larger) facilities and a total of 37% from utility-scale and small-scale (less than 1 megawatt) facilities combined.

You explain negatives. I don’t see any.

1. Darkness
2. No wind

Pretty simple
Even with darkness and no wind they made 36% of the energy in his state.

Pretty simple.

Pretty simple.
Just think if they were actually efficient and could make power around the clock, like fossil fuels
:ROFLMAO:

We have had 2 solar farms installed in our area in last 3 years. I have been trying to find out what the pay back has been. Nobody seems to know and don't want to find out. I have a feeling they are a losing proposition.

The solar/wind guys must dislike American made energy seeing that most of the junk is made in China or Europe.
