4 1/2 hours of mowing graveyard this morning, got it done. Lost my hat three times to the wind.
Parked the car and came in and had lunch, and a rest. Will go back out and put mower away; it's really gross and dirty, might
powerwash it while it's up on the trailer. Not in any rush to do that. Definitely downshifted to first gear...

tried to avoid Peddler's Village on way home and then got backed up at Aquetong and 202 for four lights. Oh well.
Just a lot of folks out driving on a summer Saturday. I'm glad to be home. I'll feel a lot better when I can shower and get sun tan lotion off me.
But a few miles of dirt before that.

The asiatic lilies are enjoying the temps and the sunshine. This will be the last year in the containers. This fall, the bulbs will get separated and replanted into the CMU block border.

It's strange that 2 of the 4 have always been "behind" in growing and blooming. Not sure why.... all planted at the same time, same soil, same amount of water.

SC, PLEASE tell us you were able to place that sign so as to block his exit and would have to take the time and energy to move it.

Just to clarify a couple of things that were oversights when I posted ...

- the local church shooter was arrested at the scene and is now in jail / treatment facility ... sad situation, any way that you look at it

- here in BC, the designated parking stall privileges are via a permit that users pay for annually. I have a permit to use. Some limitations are not obviously physical like mine ... could be more of an energy limitation, anxiety even, etc. I am not the Parking Police in any way, and I chose to ask Dippy-Do about it because he had no regard whatsoever. I can walk across the parking - lot so for me, proximity to the shop door is not a concern, however the wider stalls are certainly my need. I plan it out whenever possible that when I park, my driver's door is accessible ... corner stall, backing in, etc

I find myself in the hospital with pneumonia, in the observation unit, hope I can go home tomorrow.
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. I’m still here and likely will be through Saturday at least. I feel pretty good for a few hours, then I tank again for a few.
I’ll keep in touch.
Prayers Randy, I hope you feel better today, and they let you out soon.

Alligatoritis has hit where I work pretty hard. Many people I've had direct conversations with are testing positive. All (that I know of) are just having cold/flu like symptoms. It's been a while since I've had a booster, but I'm feeling fine so far.

Just a quick message

We survived the storm this week. But my property got hit hard, upwards of 20 trees down. Some damage to the house, a portion of the ridge vent got torn off the barn. I “patched” it back on today

Power went out 12:30 AM Tuesday morning. No landline, no cell, no internet. I have the generators working overtime to keep the place functioning partially.

Busy cutting up trees and hauling off the debris
Sorry about your property. Hope you get things fixed up as good as possible soon.

BEF, great pic of your dad and the others.

PJS, that pile will work great once you put some regular dirt in front of it. When it comes to backstops, bigger is usually always better.

I'm still so busy at work, which tires me out...I can't post as often as I'd like to.

Loaded MyRadar app. Gave it authorization to send me weather alerts and track my location.

Woke up today and cooked blueberry pancakes for the whole family. Yummy.

So hot, I don't want to go outside but I need to...Have a big 44oz styrofoam cup to keep ice water handy.

Prayers for our team, Randy, Bupps, LS4, those in need, our country, and Ukraine.

Sad about the shooting. Prayers.

Skinny parking spots are another good reason to avoid Austin Texas.

ABSOLUTELY made him work for it. I positioned the probably 80 lb sign, precisely at his driver's door and only about 3 inches away. In order to get into the vehicle there would have been some effort to move it back to it's proper position between the stalls - the driver's door could not be opened otherwise. Of course Dippy-Do could have entered the vehicle from the passenger side, or from the back seat. He would have drawn attention to himself, whatever method he chose.

(when I placed it there, 3-4 people noticed my efforts with cane in hand, and knowingly smiled :) )

score one for the good guys

takes a certain kind of moron to park in a clear handicap spot just for their own convenience.

too much I, not enough Us
I wonder if Dippy Doo would have held the door for Scaredy if he was coming in with a cane.
Probably not

Got the external blu-ray player installed...works with DVD's, but crashed with a blu ray...have to work on that. Might be this laptop doesn't have the juice to run a blu ray...be a bit of a bummer, but a free laptop...can't complain. If I can't figure it out, I do have a Blu ray player (3, actually) and plenty of DVD's

Boy!! It is CHILLY!!! Pretty breezy too, but no rain yet.
