About the mailman/mail lady. My neighbor suggested that a Christmas card with a $100 dollar bill in it inspires greater service. She said they never have problem with their vacation mail. The problem is that they seem to be changing mail people regularly.

58°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 84° today. A stray small downpour hit us just as we were going to be last night. Heavy rain and some wind, and lasted all of about two minutes, then gone.

Thomas, my late wife had 100% AV block and was totally dependent on her pacemaker for every beat. Her first unit last 7 years, she’d had the second one 3-4 years when she died, it was supposed to last a couple of years longer than the first one.

We got .13” of rain about 3-4 this morning, hot and humid today.
Taking my daughter to lunch today, I was going to spray afterwards but it’s way too windy for that. I plan to get up early tomorrow and spray before the wind gets up, then mow.
We had dinner with friends last night, great flounder!

RNG, thanks for reminding me that I have to lube the FEL too! I think it's past the 'due' mark....

Drew, I hope the cart fits on the trailer. Sounds like a plan is in place if it doesn't..... fingers crossed

RS, hope you continue to have successful progress with the tractor repair. Little by little wins the race! I wish I had some of your energy too!

Today's agenda is to work on the backyard picket fence extension. Won't be hard work, just time consuming and repetitive.... picket by picket....

Wifey started another project..... cleaning the area rugs. a couple of 2'x3', a 2'x6' runner, and 2-5'x8'. I called 3-4 carpet cleaning services.... the cheapest was over $500!
We could buy new ones for almost the same cost...
Her first attempt doing one of the little ones was very successful! She'll probably get the rest of the small ones done today, maybe one of the bigger ones later, if not tomorrow.

Need to get moving....

62F, cloudy, and breezy @ 11:00 ... but the sun keeps trying to make an appearance ...

Only calling for a high of 71F today. LWS reports 0.43" rain since midnight and a total of 0.43" for the previous day, currently sitting at 1.28" for the week. Looks like we have some dry weather for a few days, with the next chance for rain coming on Sunday.

Woman just announced She has to get started on the weeding, can't afford to let this this good weather go to waste.

That was after saying that the birds had really cleaned out the feeders, which I'll take as a hint.

Did not get any pepper plants repotted last night as we had a game in Bean Town ... until the 4th period anyways ...

Going to move the ones I repotted previously, along with the tomatoes, out away from the house, so they get the sun all day long.

Will try probably focus on getting some shade plants planted today in the east planting bed and second circle and the rest of the mulch that's still in the van spread.

Otherwise might make it up to the shop for further work on the Kubota.

RS- getting the shaft up in the right position, frustrating to have to remove reinstall pins, but how often do you do this.

Once every 15 or so years/2400 hours ...

So minor in the big picture of things.

Yup.

How much more work to get the tractor back in service?

Not all that much really - maybe a day - assuming I don't tear into the seals on the knuckles of the front axle.

Probably won't do that at this point ... unless I absolutely have to. Will just refill the axle and see how bad it leaks. If it isn't too bad, I'll save that for rainy or really hot weather.

Our turn to host H&F. Got a new grilled chicken recipe to try out. Also another kabocha squash to turn into soup. Not sure what I’ll do to be productive before that
