Had to plow the driveway a couple nights ago and it fired right up at 0* so maybe I'll get more time out of it. I wish my auto batteries would last this long...

The battery on my Kubota BX25 is OEM and came wit the tractor back in the Fall of 2008. Tractor is stored in an unheated garage. And it gets cold up here – very cold.

Just replaced the 18 year old group 26 Deka battery in the BX23.

I do use a tender for off season.

Wanted to get another Deka but no chance on holiday weekend.

Paid an arm and a leg for auto parts store battery.

Battery prices like everything else are up.

Don't expect 18 out of this one.

Longest prior was 13 years on OEM green eye Delco in Corolla...

Update. Changed 2013 battery in LS P7010C few weeks ago. Would be happy if new one last half as long.

Batteries can be hit or miss. Had a 2y/o AGM battery fail in my jeep. Still have the original battery in my Nissan from 2014. The 20 y /o garden tractor (not used too often) would eat Autozone batteries every two years. The last battery I put in it came from TSC.... 6 years and started right up this spring.

Wife's AGM in her Jeep Grand Cherokee lasted 8 years. It is under the passenger seat, in the cab.

My Kubota is 5 years old. More than I get out of any car battery. I went Kubota to see how much their battery cost. It seems to be still working well. They told me that most of the reports Kubota batteries are lasting about 10 years. If you are starting in winter weather, might use the tender (I am going to start doing that) and might consider adding a plug in block heater. I had one put on my tractor -- but haven't used it yet. As Jeff said, and I'm sure you know, starting a cold engine in cold weather can hit a battery pretty hard.
