Really? Check out what some of the leadership is saying. They actually think its a good thing.
They're delusional...figured you'd know that

Well you said “I don't think anyone thinks it's "no big deal".
Those are some pretty important people who think its no big deal because they're not doing a darn thing about it.

What happened to MinnesotaErics post? He just posted a link showing that money supply increased 80% in last 2 years and now its gone…..
Why was it taken down?

Well of course. I copied and pasted an article showing not only the increases that Moss says arent true, but theres also other information in that article that IS true, too. Gas IS up over 51% (now almost 100%). Beef IS up over 20%. Why take down an article that has information both accurate and some inaccurate. Read the article and YOU decide. What are we going to have here now a “Ministry of Truth”? :ROFLMAO:

We all know the US economy is being destroyed mostly because of extreme fuel price inflation and nothing from our leadership is being done about it. The article points that out.

It’s frustrating watching good people suffer and some here just defend it like its no big deal.

I agree with you on the larger concepts

Just like the lies told a million times over about Trump-Russia collusion that influenced an entire 4 year presidency and very likely the 2020 election.

You’ve said inaccurate things, too. Nobody’s perfect.
Have never seen you admit to it, though. Maybe I missed it.
Your idea of “factually accurate” isnt 100% right, either. IMO, your just sore because you were wrong about the 13 cents in gas price increases and I pointed it out. Now its a mission for you to find something I said incorrect and you wont let it go.

So the article I posted has false information in it, but there’s TRUE information in the article, too. The fact is, that inflation is being caused by printing of money.

You made your point, multiple times.
Now let it go.
You are correct on the larger concepts.

Much of the country's success is owed to cheap abundant energy.

Climate has become an easy political tool, people for some reason are willing to trust government to act in the peoples best interest.

My guidance (I know you didn't ask) if we don't have credibility we will never change a heart or mind, and it will be more difficult to fix the issues we have, and the ones we are trying so hard to create.

Rules for my kids, admit it, own it, apologize for it, fix it. If 1% of what we say is incorrect, none of it will be believed.

Best,

ed

As I'd written, they're delusional...or, maybe they just don't know what to do...or, a combination of both.
I'd written in another post (maybe in another thread) that this is the worst, most incompetent, administration since Jimmy Carter...but Carter, IMHO, is a decent man...I can't say the same for the current incompetents

I don't often admit this, I was too young to vote, but, I thought it would be the end of the world when Reagan won. Wish that was the last time I was wrong. I do think Jimmy was a good person.

He deleted it himself.

Like climate change/global warming:)

To fuel: unless there is an anomaly between source and destination, sharply rising prices indicate demand is up vs supply. The literal fact that production is up doesn't matter unless it is relative to demand. If your administration is passionately and openly committed to the extension of your industry, you are unlikely to commit resources to increasing production to meet demand.

The exxon guys will be fine don't worry, it is the folks that have a little less discretionary income to absorb the price fluctuation that will feel the sting.
On the bright side, we will all be better off after the forced migration away from fossil fuel, right?

You and Moss are correct, bad info should be owned and corrected. Lies repeated passionately and frequently do sadly become fact.

Anyone who has lived in the same region over 50 years knows the climate is changing. Every old time rancher will tell you the climate is different today than back in the 1960s. Someone has to be in deep denial to not see this.

Simply put, climates change, that is what they do. I have been in the same area for 55 years, some are wetter, some are colder, sometimes the winters are short, sometimes we get no spring at all. Yea they change.

We have had roughly 6 ice ages on this planet, none of which would I consider survivable by humans. We have had some dry hot weather that would be rather inhospitable as well.

Of course climates change, you would have to be in deep (something other than denial) not to know that. For heavens sake how many people will see two hundred year floods? No one will see a 300 year weather cycle. Of course it looks like it is changing to people that only live 80 years for heavens sake.

Every single ice age happened without an iota of help from people or fossil fuels. The next extinction event won't concern itself in the least with people or gas or really any trivial thing we can do. Some where between extremes, earth will be habitable again for a while.

Why intelligent, educated people can't get enough altitude to understand this boggles my mind.

There is 0% chance earth will support human life in current form forever.

We are unable to impact weather in even a trivial way, maybe reduce flooding for the folks that build their houses on cliffs on the west coast and are shocked when they wash down the hill every 20 or 30 years.
Or the folks that build in the same state in beautiful forest that you can't manage, or burn on your own property. Then are aghast when in a couple of dry years the whole thing is a tinder box. Surely as mighty influencers could spare a couple of timely 2 inch rains to save the trees, right?

People believe they are important and impactful. Couldn't be further from the truth, the earth moon and stars will do their thing as if we don't exist.

If you believe living in a hut and driving an electric scooter will delay sea from rising, go for it, I promise to even be careful not cut you off in traffic.

We have so many challenges that mean something and we can have an effect on them, let the planet sort itself, work on something you understand.

With all this talk about record high diesel and gas prices and how big oil is raking in profits what's missed is the biggest winner. States and federal government. A number of states tax fuel with a percent tax vs a fixed amount per gallon. Even the states that don't are still making more profit (sales tax, income tax, etc.).
