I love digging up red potatoes. The adult version of an Easter egg hunt.

nice visit with sister and husband, had lunch outside on bench watching the birds zip around. We were too close to bluebird nest, couldn't get momma to come back while we were sitting there.
She hopped on the roof, she hopped on the gutter, all the time watching us, but stayed away from birdhouse. Bluebirds have problems with local bluejays; I see them fighting and swooping at each other; I think momma bluebird is protecting her nest. Pretty sure there are chicks in there based on constant returns to nest.

BIL looked around at local woods and noted all the dead ash trees.

choice of either washing the car or mowing the lawn this afternoon. I did the inside of the car but may wait on outside.
Neighbor with overgrown back yard asked me to mow it for next three weeks until she leaves for good.
I figure it costs about ten bucks in gas each time I do it at today's gas prices.

In the last week I put 75 bucks in gas in the car twice. Not sure if pump cut off but seemed to be full. Almost 25 bucks for a can of gas for mower.
Truckers must be going broke.

I hope Eric is doing ok.

gun control is likely a poor topic for this thread. It's too divisive and tends to veer into politics quickly.

Interesting comments I’ll only add do you gentlemen know one can fire a lever action rifle faster than an AR 15. I have seen it done. As Roy said an AR 15 is not an assault rifle. The loss of life in Texas is horrible and in no way am I trying to say that it is not. The problem starts at home with the family and is my opinion where we need to start

The Rifleman does it everyday at 4.

Don, at our nursery school at church, we aimed for 3-5 minutes. Police station is 2 miles down our same main road.
We hope to shut a barrier door, shelter in place, and let professionals handle it.
Sometimes you don't get that chance of course.

just mowed the lawn and now waiting for school board finance meeting in a few minutes.
Then my day will be done. I have a rolled flank steak for dinner to put on the barbecue later.
Also picked a nice bunch of radishes which I will take to my local brother tomorrow.

Drew my truck last two tanks has averaged 22.3 mpg not bad but 34 gallons to fill up ouch! Remember 8000 pound truck diesel motor
