Morning all, cloudy day and high of 68, Memorial day weekend is looking like a washout.
Got the trimming done for the side yard and pool in about 2 hours.
Tried out the new M18 blower. Pretty nice, not as powerful as the gasser, but works well in the smaller areas where I need it.

Thomas - sudden blood pressure drop? hate when Dr. pull straw out of the air. Good luck on implant. I find most Dr. arrogant. I pick mine when I find one that won't be a pain when I ask questions and will work with me instead of treating me like a 2 year old that needs to be scolded.

Drew - Most countries, even the not so wealthy like Spain have great high speed rail. The gov pays for it so people drive less and it's not all that expensive. Germany, Italy and most of Europe have amazing rail and Japan is the pinnacle, as a privatized rail system. Our Government see rail as overhead and does not get it at all that rail is important to connect the country and provide alternate ways of moving people and goods. So many rail lines abandoned by clueless infrastructure "planners". One of the worst areas is the Northeast with perpetually bankrupt Amtrak and the corrupt New Jersey Transit. NJT made a billion dollars in Alligatoris funds disappear in a few months with a huge Decrease in service. Like magic!

Check - glad the storms missed you. Heard from coworkers it was really nasty.
Mostly - that pole looks lonely - Carp, fertilizer or pan fry ?

Rhododendrons in full bloom. The ones in front are about 15' tall-think I need to trim them after they finish flowering.

Stay safe and be well,

So clean

And the latest invasive to hit the block. Multiflora Rose.
Not too many non-invasives left.

Don't forget tomorrow, and every Tuesday is "Tummy Rub Tuesday". everyone with kittens or cats has to post a pic their feline's tummy so we can rub it.

She’s busy snoozing in my lap. Like momma like daughter.

Here was my bucket of potatoes before planting.

Morning all!
Got the garden roto tilled and smoothed back out yesterday. Had to use the tractor to pull out 2 huge rocks that grew over the winter. Will take another pic when we get some plants in the ground.
Wife and I are doing fine. Her eye is doing great. Just needs to put drops for a few more days. We don't know if they can fix the other one. We will ask on her next visit.
Just got back from our 3 mile walk.
Weather is great here. 50's at night and 60's-70's during the day with no humidity!!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

54°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 75° today. Rain and thunderstorms expected later tonight, some severe tomorrow, and lasting into Friday. Weather for the extended weekend looks good, though.

Wife got about half of the mowing done yesterday, and I finished it after work in the evening ... or, at least as much as I could mow. Still some wet areas in front of and behind the pond. I got most of the area in front with the push mower, but even some of that was puddled. May try to get some of the area in back after work this evening, as long as the rain holds off for a bit as forecast.

Only got two eggs yesterday. Had a stern talk with the hens.

LS, you may be the only one here who hasn't dumped something from your bucket. I dumped a 5 gallon bucket of hand tools and a chain into a burn pile once. No fun trying to fish a chain out of a bunch of limbs. At least it wasn't burning yet.

Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 7:00AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 98F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
If it's already this warm, it's gonna be a hot one later.

Just do it on a hard surface. It will take longer to unplug the hoses than anything else, especially if you have 4 single couplers.
I've learned the hard way that having a hard and level surface is key to easy dismount and mount of the FEL. I've had it off both tractors, and since surfaces here are neither hard or level, so now try to avoid messing with the FEL at almost all costs.

Warning: For a while now, I've noticed and appreciated that my posts here are automatically saved if I accidentally move on to the next "page". That no longer seems to be the case, and I lost most of what I was going to write today. Don't worry, I won't bore you by trying to recreate it.😂

So far my worst bucket accident is somehow managing to crush my chainsaw helmet in the jaws of the 4in1. But it was the one from Stihl, which I always found very uncomfortable, and it was replaced by one made by Husqvarna.

The big red dirt bike has been mothballed all winter, and I have plans to ride it to the rally tomorrow, so yesterday morning I drained the gas from the touring bike, put it back on its charger, and transferred that gas to the red one. Put the repaired GPS mount back together and had to rebend it to get it to fit. Then topped off the oil and air in the tires,. Went to town and had two new hoses made for the grappel, and was delighted I waited less than five minutes for the gent to finish. The price wasn't bad, either, at eighty bux and change, and the quality of the hose was a big step up from what EA is using. Then tried to stop by the BMW dealer to pick up a replacement mirror, but being Monday, they were closed. They're always closed on Monday, but somehow it wasn't registering that yesterday was Monday. Is there such a thing as being retired too long?😲

Got one hose back on the grappel, then broke a fitting while trying to attach the other. I'll see if I can find a replacement in Quincy tomorrow, as I'm not going to make a special trip for it today.
