Good morning!!!!

Good morning! 48 now, maybe 57 later. And a freeze advisory for tonight unti tomorrow morning. Big change from 3 straight days of low 80’s.

A tornado touched down briefly in Lorain County north of here yesterday. We got some rain and a little wind.

we had a busy weekend working outside. Garden was finally dry enough to plant something. Really late this year getting started due to the amount of rain. Mowing and trimming was also on the agenda. I think we both got too much sun.

Off to get a haircut this morning. Not sure what else I will get into today.

Everyone stay safe out there

terrible picture through a window; one of these days I'm going to break down and get a real camera with a tripod and take
some good bird pics. Perhaps in memory of Ron. Ron, we miss you and hope you are well and happy.

Bill, privacy is the best. My rule was ability, with some common sense and looking around, to take a whiz anywhere, find a tree.
Can't do that in suburbia. Someone will dime you out and next thing you are in cuffs in the back of a patrol car. Because some little girl with binoculars across the street
saw your backside through the window far away. No.

Growing up on a farm where we could not see another neighbor at all, sure makes you appreciate what a luxury that is now.
One I can't afford around here for sure.

Good morning all, cloudy 54, calling for light rain.
Planted a bush yesterday and moved a tree into place to plant today.
Rain looks to hit right when I start to plant tree.....We don't need more rain, my dry trench is still a brook from the last rains.

I got the metal wire to protect the small trees I am planting today. Went up about 30% from two years ago. Some sites were selling it for double.....

I don't understand how people who should know better get hurt by garage springs. If you do everything in the correct order, the safety line through the spring and leather gloves. I have replaced a bunch and never had a spring do anything. The wire to do the work always frays and will be stabby, so the gloves..

Stay safe and be well,

Bush was over 600lbs and was a bit of a struggle to lift. Had to rope it and travel down hill to plant.
a bit exciting

Good Morning.
It’s 50 with a high just over 60 and rain forecast for today.

Yesterday was another day of doing only things that were interesting or fun, except a trip to Staples to print some manuals for our TSA security program. Stopped by a friends shop and tinkered on a few of his projects with him, stopped and had lunch with some friends on the way home. Spent some time in my shop, then went down to stay with grandson while his parents soaked in the hot tub. He was already asleep, so we couldn’t get into any trouble.

Today should be breakfast with the professor, then a BJ’s run. After that I’ll probably have to dive back into getting some paperwork and manuals updated. I’ve basically taken the last week off.

Kyle, from the picture, it looks like you used the boring bar as a broach to cut the key way, using the taper attachment. Is that correct?

I was thinking it was a torsion spring rather than a linear one. They offer more opportunity to hurt yourself while winding them up to tension.

Correct. It happened late last week so I did not see it happen. My mom said he was really young so probably inexperienced and trying to work fast, but then everyone is young when you are in your nineties.

Good morning! 57˚F up to only 70, cloudy. The fire damage at the towns water treatment plant has been repaired so we are off the severe water restrictions. FireWise brush clearing canceled because of the little rain so today is a free day!

59 outside this AM, heading to lower 70's, Rain coming in this afternoon.

Grass cutting is needed once a week now, fourth cutting of season underway. Pastures look like they need a good cut too.

Insurance company still waffling at damage, another estimate came in at 105k. LOL. Try finding metal panels these days.

And health issuance company has a billing issue that crops up every year. Been round and round with them over six times for whatever is causing the issue. Same company that almost bankrupted me a few years back. Have zero recourse in how-to deal with them. Just horrible experiences.

Tried to trim some trees this past weekend with the man lift. It is not cooperating as it complains it is not level. I hate electronics.

Ground to a halt on the milk house project. Funding has dried up with all the insurance issues. LOL.

Other than that, flowering plants and dandelions are absolutely amazing this time of year.

Hope all are well and in a good spot. Be safe.

The tree rat populations have exploded here.

Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 5:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 79F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Mostly 70s and 80s in the 10-day, with very little chance of rain.

Talked to the guy at the Interstate Battery store that promised last week he'd for sure have a battery for me, and found out he didn't. I'd left my phone number with him so he could call me if there was a problem, but you know how that goes when you're dealing with an idiot. Called around and found one at a motorcycle store, only twice what it would have cost online, but time is short and I couldn't wait. Also found a remnant at the carpet store, but twice the size I need, also at twice the price. Crazy prices at the grocery store, too. $2.65 for a half gallon of skim milk? And of course six dollar a gallon Diesel. At least the tank wasn't as empty, but it still topped $150 to get it full again and took two payment cycles because the pump is set to automatically shut off at $125.

Before that I fiddled with the oscilloscope again trying to record and plot the voltage signal while the air conditioner started, this time writing down all the necessary steps. I did apply the change to the master inverter's power conservation setting, and while the lights still flicker when the phase converter motor starts, I couldn't find any sign of a voltage sag during the air conditioner start. The air conditioner compressor was previously the worst offender, so now I want to undo the programming change and rerun the test.

Not today, though, as I want to get the carpet in the van and the new battery in the motorcycle, and finish packing. I did call the place that rebuilds the engine computers, but they don't keep any on hand. So that'll have to wait until next week.

36°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 62° today. It was a little more brisk this morning than I was expecting, naturally, because we put away the winter coats over the weekend.

The boy left shortly after I got home (he has his own transportation again), and The Wife was out training, so the house was quiet last night. Got some recording done.

My blue eyes have kept me out of a lot of trouble over the years, Helogabals. 😁

L4N, our neighbors across the road are the same way. They enjoy their privacy. The husband can frequently be seen mowing down by the road wearing just sneakers and a towel across his lap. It's well known that it's best to let them know you're coming by and not attempt a "surprise" visit. The FedEx driver (lady) was telling us once about seeing a naked man running into the woods over there. The wife told her, "Yeah, that's just my husband."
