What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Can't call it my LS, not yet anyhow, but I've gone twice now to give the MT225S a solid look; it's in the short list as an upgrade from my 1025R.

I've narrowed it down to 3 contenders, Kioti CK3510SE, Branson 25/3515H, and the LS. One of those things is not like the other, but it's capabilities in regard to it's size have really impressed me.

Well, they are definitely not apples to apples.... did you look at the full size MT225-E or HE? That is the same frame size as the Kioti or Branson.

A serious consideration is the loader lift capacity.... the 225-S only has 1009 lb lift. The 225-E/HE has 1600lb capacity..... closer to the others.

The MT225HE was what caused me to gravitate towards LS, only to find that it's not compatible with me.

The 225HE is, on paper, absolutely perfect for my needs; that said, I'm 6'5" and the diesel tank behind the operator really kills the leg room. If that weren't the case I'd probably have one already- I liked it that much.

I'm 6'1" and kinda had the same legroom issue. But.... an easy solution.... I put 1 1/2" spacers under the seat mounts.... WAALAA! Lots more leg room! Then I was really missing the armrests on my previous LS.

Found a great deal on a Black Talon seat. Bought one and really made even a bigger difference! Bought a second one and put it on the backhoe! Now I work in comfort!

Rural King had them on clearance for $79..... couldn't pass on that deal!

An easy way to see if it would work for you would be to take a couple of chair cushions to the dealer and put them on the tractor seat..... it doesn't sound like much, but it does make a dramatic difference.

I really wish we had Rural King up here in Maine, it seems like it's a great place to kill some time.

Next time I go to the dealer I'll bring a few phone books* with me, see if sitting up higher would help.

The closest RK to me is about 600 miles away.... but they ship...
Some things are too costly to ship though....
