Another visit with financial advisor, got a plan. Will at least work thru this fall, then maybe retire.
Rainy day .88” today so far, 1.74 since yesterday.

Removed dump cart wheel and tire and took it down to the local tire shop to get the tube replaced. Guy said the tube was falling apart when he took it out, also the tire itself was about gone which I could see: cracking after the tube was replaced and inflated. $10 while I waited which seems reasonable (although it looks like they bent the rim a little ... )

Something about rubber products that the Chicoms seem to have difficulty with (I'm assuming it is Chinese)

He did say that he stocked the tires ... so when they finally go ...

Filled up The Woman's car on the way back and collected the mail.

Reinstalled the tire after I got back.

Still a little chilly out there.

Got some online banking done.

Inspected the screws holding in the hose bib on the outside of the kitchen wall, they look to still be in fairly decent shape ... so getting those pulled out shouldn't be too bad hopefully.

Noticed that the Orienpet lilies over there are starting to poke through the soil.

Old daffodils planted long ago are in bloom:

Will have to remember to mark those so they can be dug up later and thinned out.

Also the forsythias are in good bloom ... considering how heavily they were pruned back last year:

Probably will pull in the large planters here in a few and see about getting those Elephant Ear bulbs planted. Then maybe a little further work down in the fish room.

46F. It has been raining steadily all day. I was thinking about doing some stuff today but the rain gave me second thoughts. My wife assures me that I won't melt but why take a chance.

I'm feeling for the people down in Washington. First they are getting picked off one by one by the alligators now they are getting stalked by rabid foxes. Crimminy, it is a wonder they don't get discouraged.

Here is hoping for a dryer day tomorrow.

Good evening all. 44ºF for the start, clear sky, windy. Wind peak gust over 40 today, sky mostly clear, and high temp was 66ºF, DP 11ºF. Bike ride early to beat worst of wind, still had wind penalty of .66m. Did get wood restacked, and nap after lunch. Did not get maintenance or bike wash done because of wind
Dennis nice amount of rain. Sorry about not going back too sleep.
Bill hope your snow clears soon. Hope you had a nice conservation of energy day.
Doug sorry to hear about wife's heart. Praying for good outcome.
Randy(wag) sounds like a busy day. I will never criticize tool purchases as you don't always know when you will need it. Quite the temp swing.

Good afternoon all. Overnight low of 5.5C, overcast but no rain. Wind is variable and calm. Presently 18C, and I think that that's going to be the high for today. (Mid-Autumn weather, eh? Can't make up its mind.)

Over to the Community Garden for a 1000 start. 7 raised planting beds filled with mulch & top soil. Finished by 1300 and home. Tractor FUN!

Roy, they did ask her if she was willing to participate in some new program. It will be interesting to find out what they are talking about. She must be a prime candidate perhaps?

Good morning, low temp 34 and going up to 48°F. Wind WNW 3 mph. 60% chance of showers.

The only thing I am doing today is the eye appointment at 3 P.M. There are three of us going, so that will take until 4 and with a 45 minute drive home will make us late for supper/dinner/tea/the late afternoon meal, so we will eat at the truck stop. I have been eating there for 25 years, their food is usually good, but I haven't eaten there since last fall.

good morning all
lot of rain has finally stopped, 3.91 inches total. Local stream flood warning posted.
But a sunny day today and the start of some needed drying out.

waiting for Volvo service to come pick up my car and bring a loaner. They are going to fix the one rashed wheel as a we owe from
delivery. I'm going to also ask them to check pulsing brakes.

This morning I expect a delivery of ten flats of pachysandra, all going to church for planting. 20 dollar flats now 25, or more, I found ten for 22.50; least expensive locally.
