Ken, nice view out thru those trees

Got rid of 8.5 gal of old oil at recycle, dumped some old cardboard from the shed, and a large plastic container in that bin. The ranger pulled up as I was dumping the plastic, guess to make sure nothing illegal got dumped.
Glad I don’t go to the regular dump area, probably 30 pickups backed up to get in.
Probably will only put out 1 extra bag of trash from shed this week.

Having everything in quicken is very handy at tax time, and when you need to find when you bought something. It does take time, but not too bad. I just need to make sure when I enter new stuff, it uses the new structure. I need to clean up the memorized transaction list.

Gas at 3.99 now at most stations. Costco was 3.79 so went there, lines for gas backed up thru parking lot. I skipped that. Got some lunch, and thanks to gasbuddy, found gas for 3.75 on way home. That won’t last long.

The truck convoy should have came thru town this morning, didn’t see it. Saw videos it was over 10 miles long.

Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 11:00AM. Partly to mostly cloudy. High 56F. Winds light and variable.
We did get some rain overnight, but only 0.17". Nothing more again in the 10-day.

I met with the Forester this morning, who had some surprising news. He didn't feel it would be wise to either remove stumps from burned trees and brush from an erosion standpoint, or to replant as that would only increase the fuel load on the property. He also said that cutting a firebreak would be dangerous for the operator and would not significantly increase the fire safety of this property or the surrounding ones, as the existing defensible space was more than adequate. That will save me a lot of work and expense, but it doesn't appear that the costs for which I was worried about being reimbursed would be necessary. So I can close out my claim against the Fire Victim Trust and move on with my life.

I have a house guest this weekend, and we'll still be headed north Monday looking for greener pastures in the Eugene area. I don't have high hopes of finding them, but you never know unless you see for yourself.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Agree Roy grocery prices will increase their rise in price again. everything will be affected that ships by plane train truck ship etc. not a good place to be in now. No quick and easy answer either solutions that can make a difference are years down the road as Toppop said a while back

Once the Jeannie is out of the bottle, only Major Nelson can put her back! lol
Seriously, it’s much easier to start inflation than it is to stop. The rest of world dynamics will just make it worse.

Don, do you still have any numb spots? Any swelling after you walk or exercise a bit?
Yes and yes. On the front of my kneecap for about 2" down is still numb. The swelling seems to be less after activity than it was a month ago, but still there. Walking does not hurt anymore and I did not have to limit the shore excursions due to how much walking was involved. The middle of March will be 3 months. I was told to expect swelling and numbness for 6-12 months by others in the neighborhood that had their knee replaced.

Potatoes are still not up. I guess I planted them a bit too early.

Gasoline today $3.49 - up 40¢ from a week ago.
